Cleary marked vegan options - Edit
Nice place. The stuff understood directly that I am vegan. The portions are fine. The food is good. They have a lot of vegan options. I had lemon paster. A dish I never saw before in Southeast Asia.

Excellent vegan options - Edit
We went for dinner and had arrabbiata, mushroom aglio olio, Margherita pizza (vegan cheese is VioLife Grated) and fries. Great food and great service!
Read moreWe went for breakfast the following day and had the delicious Mexican scrambled tofu which comes with homemade bread and salad. The fresh juices were also lovely. Would highly recommend.

3 too harsh and 4 too generous - Edit
The mushroom aglio olio was drowning in oil, swamped even - which only worked out good because it meant a garlic oil for the pizza. But stingy on the cheese for the vegan pizza which you have to pay extra for is also a bit of a piss take, but other wise good.
Read moreOrdered pancakes for dessert, only came out as one pancake. Again, annoying as you had to pay extra for just one. The food is good though.
Pros: Taste, Option
Cons: Stingy portions

Plenty of vegan options 🌱 - Edit
Affordable and more importantly: tasty (vegan) food! Loved the options on the menu, everything was clearly labeled. The food was fresh, tasty, well seasoned, portion was plentiful - perfect! Especially loved their home baked bread 🥖 Sweet and savory options available. Opening hours on HappyCow are wrong, check GoogleMaps! #Veganuary

Very, very good vegan food & range of options - Edit
We went here once for dinner and once for breakfast. There is a really good range of vegan options and dishes that can be made vegan. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and understood vegan. The German chef is a star. For dinner we had a vegetable curry and slow roasted aubergine - both delicious and the pasta dishes also looked amazing - followed by vegan brownies complete with vegan cream (specials menu so may not always be available). For breakfast we had a fantastic scrambled tofu with avocado on homemade bread. Mains are generally around 18-30 MYR. Best vegan food we’ve had in Langkawi yet!

Cozy! - Edit
Clearly labeled vegan options, vegan carbonara was very good! One server told me the cheese they use for pizza is vegan, but it is not! They use cow cheese as I was told by the owner.

Marked veggie / vegan options - Edit
Marked veggie / vegan options (mainly pasta). I had a margarita without cheese and the 2rm for each topping. Some of the reviews previously mentioned vegan cheese but I checked and they said they don’t do it. Satisfied the pizza cravings.

Solid pizza and pasta - Edit
After a few consecutive curry dinners we were in the mood for something else, so came to the red tomato for some pizza and pasta.
Read moreKate ordered the ratatouille penne and I had a mushroom pizza. Both were solid options, and exactly what we wanted. The vegetarian options weren't clearly labelled on the main menu, but they were on the specials board. Thankfully, the things we ordered were pretty obviously vegetarian so we didn't have to worry. There were a couple of vegan pasta options (arabiatta and ratatouille).

A chef who understands veganism - Edit
Although not remotely a vegan place, the owner/chef Tanja is very accommodating and understanding to veganism.
Read moreThe menu doesn’t label much as vegan aside from the cheese for the pizza, but Tanja wasn’t remotely phased by requesting a full English without animal products.
Do be prepared to ask about vegan food or to speak with the chef as the post-pandemic staff were a little unclear and unfamiliar with the concept.
Only open late one day per week as of early 2023, but good for a breakfast spot.
Pros: A cook who understands vegan food, (I think) the only vegan pizza on the island
Cons: Sadly only open for dinner one day per week

We had ratatouille linguine, and mushroom aglio olio linguine, and some beer. It wasn't like restaurants back home, but decent and appreciated nevertheless.

Friendly and delicious! - Edit
I went here on my first night in Langkawi. It’s at the bottom end of a very busy Main Street so it has a lovely setting but also away from the bustling-ness. The staff were incredibly friendly and I had a delicious vegan margherita pizza with olives. There are sweet little cats who might befriend you. A charming spot !

Real vegan cheese! So happy! - Edit
I was hestitant when ordering, because the waiter was not really friendly at that moment (bad day?). So when the Bruschetta came we questioned if it had any butter, the other waiter really seemed to understand vegan and assured us that it only contained oil and not butter. Then the pizza came and it had cheese. I ordered without cheese, so i was confused. Then i was told it was vegan cheese. I was not convinced it was vegan, because during my travels in south east asia they mostly clame to have vegan cheese but then serve normal cheese. The male waiter said he could show the package to assure me. It was indeed vegan cheese to our surprise! It is the brand Violife, which i also know from the Netherlands. It was a nice surprise after 5 months of no vegan cheese! So totally happy with this amazing pizza! The aglio e olio spaghetti was good too and came with vegan parmasan made out of cashew. I was so hesitant with our order, but left as a happy vegan!

Pizza & Pasta was good - Brownie was not - Edit
I went to this Place and ordered vegan pizza. They also has vegan cheese.
Read moreIt took really long till I got my pizza - unfortunately they forgot to put the ordered items on the pizza.
Anyway the pizza was good.
On the next day I went to this place again and ordered the vegan brownie.
It looked so nice but I never tried something like that- I am not sure if they used a wrong ingredient. I could not eat it- nothing.
Because it was take away I could not tell them.
Update: I went to this place again and ordered the pasta - they even had vegan parmesan- one star extra for that :)

Nice place - Edit
Friendly place with vegan options on demand, creating new vegan menu dishes, which are not on menu list yet. Good staff, chef explained me what vegan options they have, even gluten free. Vegan cheese from northern europe. Place is changing. Is goood. I had coconut cream mushroom soup, which was very good and mushroom olio alio gf penne, which was very nice but simple, taste was good though. Also next day went for breakfast and had gf pancake which was more crepe Looking and very simple, but taste was really good.

Good - Edit
Enjoyed eating at this restaurant, staff were very friendly and has a good atmosphere. Some vegan options, but also if you ask the staff or the owner Tanya she will advise dishes for you as she is super friendly. They are also very animal friendly and it isn’t unusual to find Red or another cat or dog food wandering around which was lovely. They also have donation boxes to help street dogs which I loved. All the food we had there tasted awesome. Although maybe in the mid range to - expensive price bracket, e.g. pasta 22rm.

The only place in Pantai Chenang we found that understood what vegans will and won’t eat. There’s pastas and salads. For breakfast we ordered a few sides like hash brown, avocado, tomato bruschetta and mushrooms. Friendly staff and good ambience.

Expensive but good - Edit
This place has lots of good breakfast and Italian/Western options for food. The restaurant setting itself is nice and they give a glass of water with the meal. The servers were nice too. Of course, it is not cheap, but many places here are not. There are no hidden add-ons like tax or service to the bill. You can pay by credit card here.

Easy restaurant for everyone - Edit
Visited 3 times, had a salad which I substituted tuna for quinoa and it was great! Few vegan options or things you could substitute as vegan (vegetarian is labelled) e.g salad, pasta, pizza, toast, cereal and they serve soy milk. The non vegan pizza was good (my friend had it) would recommend especially if you’re with people who aren’t veggie or vegan. Not the cheapest but worth the money!
