Lovely pub - limited vegan options

We go to this pub a lot as it’s local and a lovely setting. Unfortunately the vegan options are often limited and rarely change. The bang bang tofu salad is lovely but it’s usually a curry and maybe one other option on the menu. The roast is also very try nice. But, as nothing is labelled, it’s hard to tell what’s actually vegan (note - the falafel burger wasn’t - not only because of tzatziki but apparently the burger bun (not brioche) also? Bizarre to me.)

The desserts are very sad. Standard option is berries and sorbet - even in winter! No one should be serving fresh berries in winter in England. But with sorbet? Very sad. They have an occasional cheesecake making a cameo, but not often (and it’s just okay). More recently they’ve started offering the crumble with vegan custard, which is a step forward (though in summer it’s not a go to). When I went previously I was told they could make the crumble vegan, and when I asked how, they said they would take off the topping and it wouldn’t be served with anything. So, stewed fruit?

For the calibre of pub it should and could do so much better. I’ve given the feedback before but it’s not usually welcomed (or never used to be).

Pros: Setting is lovely - particularly the garden, Nice tofu salad (which is big!), Good choice of drinks

Cons: Poor dessert options, Don’t always have non dairy milk, Menu rarely changes - never any vegan specials on

Decent vegan options but not labelled

Had a delicious vegan salad here and more options available. Nothing on the menu but staff knew what was vegan and explained what I could have. They had a delicious cheesecake for a starter.
