Amazing - Edit
This is my favorite place in Washington to eat out! I make the drive from Maple valley to get their vegan hot dogs. The ambiance, experience, and dogs make it worth it!! Nowhere else I would rather go for a vegan dog!

Awesome Vegan Hotdogs - Edit
I had the North End Not Dog and it was dressed up exactly like a Chicago Dog, of which I have had only a couple really good ones, even prior to going vegan! It was outstanding! And reasonably priced. My dog was $6.50, the vegan coleslaw was $3.50 and the beer-b-q baked beans were $4. Both of the sides were fantastic! Highly recommend.
Read moreAfter submitting my review while at the Red Hot, I decided to order another dog! The second one was the Veganerwurst. It was good for sure, but I definitely loved the North End much better, but that is only personal preference. If you love curry, then the Veganerwurst is for you!

Yum! - Edit
I might be biased because I love field roast products. I grabbed a couple of ther hot dogs on a lunch break, and they were delicious. If it wasn't a lunchtime grab, I definitely would have hung for a couple of beers as well.

Pleasantly surprised - Edit
They have quite a bit of options for vegan. The slaw is good and they use field roast dogs. They’re hot dogs not much to really say other than it’s worth giving a try.

Hits the Spot! - Edit
Decent sized vegan menu to include vegan coleslaw. My only complaint is that sometimes the slaw is 10/10 amazingly delicious and sometimes it’s a 1/10 completely flavorless. Vegan hot dogs are delicious. Would only be better if they used the new beyond sausages.

Met my expectations - Edit
I wished they used more than just the Field Roast brand, but I appreciated that they used different flavors of “meats.” I ordered the North End Not Dog, which is their signature vegan dog and it met my expectations, but didn’t exceed them.

Hot Dawg! - Edit
Loved the hot dog options here - super diverse & very yummy! Also great beer & cider selection. They have wine too! I got the Kommisar (no peppers) and The Nature Boy (bake beans are a bit spicy?). They recommended I get two, but I was stuffed - varies person to person, but next time I’ll get one and a side.

Pros: Whole vegan menu , Great beer/cider selection , Affordable!
Cons: Surprisingly busy on a Tuesday night

Okay Hot Dogs - Edit
The hot dogs are all reasonably priced and varied. I think they’d be a lot better if they used the beyond sausages as opposed to field roast, other than that it was the perfect cheap quick bite. We had our kids with us so we had to grab them to go, but they’ve got a decent sized bar.

Fine food good beer - Edit
We had the veganerwurst and the north end not dog. They were fine. 6 vegan options on the menu all using Field Roast. Also tried the baked beans based on reviews however the beans were a little undercooked for my preference. Nice staff and atmosphere.

Definitely try the Beer-B-Q Baked Beans, Vegan Cole Slaw - Edit
Red Hot has seven vegan dog selections. Our family ordered take out and enjoyed the North End Not Dog, which is a field roast dog with the fixings: yellow mustard, onions, sweet relish, sport peppers, tomatoes, pickle spear, & celery salt. Be sure to try the vegan cole slaw and Beer-B-Q baked beans! It's hard to find a restaurant that knows how to make good baked beans anymore!

Spicy dog and taste beers! - Edit
I've enjoyed Red Hot dogs on two different trips and both were excellent. If we could score 5 stars for restaurants that didn't have full vegan menus, I would give them 5 stars. Tonight it was the Nature Boy and the Green Machine, previously I enjoyed The Kommisar. All were creative, well balanced and served perfectly made. Field Roast dogs are excellent so I consider that a plus (I realize some may not enjoy this brand). I've had the vegan slaw both times and it was ok, not great the second time. Overall, very good place to grab a meal and beer.

Craft beer and vegan dogs! - Edit
There is also a vegan burger. The dogs are Field Roast. I like this place a lot for their great selection of craft beer. The food is reasonably priced and good enough when I’m hungry. I usually get the Nature Boy with baked beans. I’ve had a few varieties including the burger and all were good. I wish they had a vegan chili dog. I also wish they had a whole wheat bun, though few restaurants have that option.

New go to spot - Edit
I travel to Tacoma every month or so to visit family, so I have been underwhelmed by the lack of vegan options in the city in the past. We tried The Red Hot today and it’s definitely going to be my new go to! Separate veg section of the menu. Inventive recipes and sides. Service was great too!

Hell Yeah, Hot Dogs - Edit
When The Red Hot use to be in their smaller space next door I think the vibes were more comfortable and genuine. Now that they're in their bigger space it definitely feels like a bro sports bar. In my experience it can also be a little cold/drafty. Even though I miss the authentic Tacoma vibes, I do absolutely adore that they have a bigger vegan section on their menu now! The food is always extremely fast and quality. The North End Not Dog is a classic favorite and their Kommisar dog is divine.

great dogs - Edit
I had the Veganerwurst with a side of beer-b-q baked beans. I'm not a fan of sauerkraut normally, but this dog was really tasty and thankfully the sauerkraut wasn't stinky! The service was really quick and pleasant. The decor was pretty cool inside, with giant chalkboards for their beer menu and lots of tap handles hanging from the ceiling.

didn't know not kid friendly - Edit
I came in here looking for a vegan hot dog for me amd my kids and found this place on happy cow. I just didn't know it was a bar :( that's why I gave it 3 stars. I wish it had like a drive thru window or something then I would go all the time but since it's a bar I won't be going anymore. I need somewhere the whole family can eat, guess it's back to smart dogs in my kitchen.
