Friendly service, 3 vegan dishes - Edit
The service staff have an idea of what vegan means and asked about the ingredients themselves. The soup of the day was vegan today - so it's worth asking. The side salad was very small for the price. Vegan "haggis" was a nice idea, tasted OK. There were two vegan pastries.

You want the croissant - Edit
We went in for a veggie breakfast, but we were too late (they stop serving breakfast at 11). So we got some vegan pastries instead. Not a lot of options. Vegan blueberry croissant was amazing. Cappuccino oatmilk as well. All the pastries were very good (not all vegan though). If you do eat dairy, try the cinnamon rolls!

Average food - Edit
Stopped here for diner and breakfast while doing the West Highland Way.
Read moreFor diner I had the Haggis and chips. Was fine, but I've had beter chips on the WHW.
I had the overnight oats for breakfast. The overnight oats are overpriced. Just oats in soymilk with 5 blueberries. I could have made it myself since we had a fridge at the Tyndrum Lodges.
They have several vegan pastries. I had the bananabread and choco granolabar to go. Those were delicious.

Good roll - Edit
Good amount of vegan options. I had the veggie sausage roll - the sausage was made of veggies not fake meat. I asked for a tattie scone in the roll which wasn't an option but they did it for me. Free refills on soda machine so had six cups lol

Tofish and chips is NOT vegan - Edit
Stopped here in the way home from Mull. We’d been looking forward to stopping for their ‘vegan tofish and chips’ the whole journey, but were disappointed when the server told us that the tofish is cooked in the same oil along with black pudding and other meat options. We just had chips on their own which were nice (cooked in rapeseed oil).
Read moreNot sure why you’d offer a plant based alternative and then make it non-vegan by cooking it along with other meat products.
Pros: Good stopping location on a long journey, Chips are good
Cons: Non vegan ‘plant based’ options

Nice chips, decent curry sauce. - Edit
When here twice, both times the chips were lovely. Asked about the curry sauce and it doesn’t state it is vegan but they looked at the allergy book and all the ingredients are vegan. The sauce tasted nice but was a bit too thin. Would definitely go again on a long drive.

Mediocre Food - Edit
They have some vegan options, which is very nice for a roadside restaurant. The food does need some improvement however, the fries were not good and the tofu did not sit well with me. Still nice, that there’s vegan food

I tried the tofish and chips-I'm not a fan of tofu or seaweed, but this worked well as a fish n chips alternative, and I'd have it again.

Bueno - Edit

Used to be better - Edit
We visited this restaurant 7 years ago and were super happy. So when being in the area we wanted to go there again. We were really disapointed. Chips were to soft. The vegan haggis comes with chips and a white sauce so there‘s no color at all on the plate. The plates for 2 of our 3 dishes were disposable. For us it seemed like mass processing and not at least what we expected.

Interesting vegan options - Edit
Stopped here on the way from Loch Lomond to Ft. William and had the vegan haggis and tofish. Enjoyed the haggis very much and understand it's basically purchased at the market since it is listed as MacSween's on the menu. The tofish was interesting, but not anything like fish so not sure why it's under the fish & chips section of the menu. It wasn't bad for what it was, but the labeling may produce some unfulfilled expectations. The restaurant was quite busy when we were there, but the food was delivered in a timely manner. I would go back to try other items.

Solid! - Edit
We stopped off here on our way north as there was an EV charger in the car park, was quite busy but our food came quickly. The cafe clearly had a focus on ethics (bar the meat/dairy) including toilet twinnings and locally sourced food and ingredients

Nice - Edit
We sometimes take a day trip towards Tyndrum if we fancy a take out. Keep meaning to go early enough for their vegan breakfast but not managed it yet.
Read moreWe like the veggie haggis and the chunky chips. The peppercorn sauce goes nicely with the haggis.
Have also tried the veggie curry which reminded me of school curry. It was full of vegetables but I wasn’t impressed with the flavour of the mango curry I’m afraid.
My daughter tried the veggie sausage which is of the rice and vegetable kind and unfortunately quite dry.
All in all nice friendly and clean restaurant but would like a few other options. #Veganuary
Pros: A couple of vegan options, Clean, Friendly staff
Cons: Could do with more vegan options

Some vegan options, nice little stop - Edit
This place is a nice stop on the roadside just before Glencoe. We sat out in the sun and ordered via the app. Some vegan options, about 4 or 5. I had the vegan haggis, chips and soya peppercorn sauce and it was nice. Ran out of fresh baked vegan cake but there was a very nice pre made on the premises vegan chocolate granola bar. Labelling of vegan food needs work on the menu and in the serving area, but happy to clarify when asked. They have a separate grill for vegetarian food too.
