Incredible presentation - Edit
The food here looks and tastes great. My only complaint would is it’s not the healthiest food. They rely a lot on fried and over-processed fake meats.

I am Impressed once more. - Edit
This intimate and cozy Vegan restaurant is located in the El Paso, TX area. The service is extremely good, and the servers are polite and efficient with cleaning up the tables so more can come.
Read moreThis place is so good, that I've been back there from North Carolina three times in under a year. Each time we go, we always order the different assortments of UN-meat. Each dish is seasoned with it's own spices and herbs which come out smelling savory and appetizing, unlike other places that use the same seasoning for all dishes.
The drumsticks are one of my favorites. They are seasoned with a spicy seasoning and done just right, with the skin a bit crispy and the sugar cane bone juicy which makes for a heavenly delight. All the flavor is kept in while grilling and goes well with a cold and my favorite drink ( King's punch). One of my new favorites is the Tofish fries with UN-cheese .
The prices are extremely reasonable compared to similar places in in the area and just as good, if not better!

This place was awesome for several reasons...first of which being it's all vegan menu. Comfort food classics like un-Chicken strips plus Philly "Cheese Steak" & Buffalo un-Chicken sandwiches are a few of the options. We shared the Frachos (french fry nachos), and they were absolutely delicious.

A Special Place - Edit
It is rare that a meal experience simultaneously transports you to distant lands, and brings you home.. but that is what my dinner at The Queen's Table did for me.
Read moreUpon entering the cozy restaurant, I noticed an old-school New Orleans feel to the place. There were eleven tables and a few counter spots in this romantically lit space. We were greeted warmly and sat in comfortable chairs. Soul and Motown music poured out from the kitchen. Crystal water glasses were filled for us, and we met the owners.
Queen, and her daughter of the same name, took time explaining the menu and the ingredients to us.
It is refreshing to find a vegan meal that is nourishing and soulful.. true comfort food. I ordered the unchicken dinner with mac and cheese and rice with gravy. My dinner was preceded by a salad of spring greens, cucumber and tomato, accompanied by a lively in-house dressing with a tomato base.
My companion ordered the Royal unchicken burger and onion rings. The soup of the day was chickpea and vegetable. Mama Queen brought me a generous sample of the soup to see if I liked it, I did. Being a great lover of soup, I couldn't resist getting a bowl, and was not disappointed. The saltiness of the warm broth accented the vegetables well, and provided a pool of flavor for my cornbread muffin to soak up.
When the meal arrived, we were supplied with golden tableware. The unchicken was tender and juicy, with a subtle hint of sweetness that instantly made me happy with my meal selection. The mac and cheese is made with Love. They use their own cheese recipes and make the cheese in-house.. then bake the mac to a golden brown. The creamy mac and cheese made me wonder just what I had been eating all my life, because it certainly wasn't up to par with Queen's mac and cheese, which has now become the gold standard that I will judge all mac and cheese by going forward. (I may never find another mac and cheese this good again; so, I will have to return for more the next time I am in El Paso.)
Queen brought my friend's meal out, and wasn't happy with the amount of onion rings on her plate, so she brought another whole order of rings to the table. I managed to sneak a few. Usually onion rings are soggy and greasy; these were neither. The crispy rings were packed full of flavor and could have fit the bill at any drive-in or gourmet restaurant.
Our portions were adequate enough for two meals, so we packed the rest of the food in to go containers and were preparing to pay the check when we were approached about dessert. While they have vegan ice cream, cakes, and cookies, it was a simple but delicious strawberry cupcake that was calling my name. Queen gave it to me on the house, thus completely cementing my love for this place.
As we drove away, already planning our next visit to this wonderful place, I enjoyed the sweet treat that was gifted to me by the amazing Queen. The visit made me feel as if I was royalty, an old friend, and a member of the family rolled into one. The Queen's Table is definitely worth a visit!

Overpriced, Poor & Slow service, Pushy Staff and Cheap Interior - Edit
We really tried to like this vegan restaurant and we were very excited to try it. We were actually quite shocked by our experiences. We don't like to say negative things about vegan restaurants.
Read moreWe arrived near opening, 11ish, we were the only customers in the restaurant and almost immediately the server seemed rude towards us. The waiter sat us at the most undesirable table. It was a 2 top by the bar, on the way to the bathroom, completely by itself.. It was under the queen's table sign and it was very cramped. The waiter seemed to do that bc we came in our work attire and he clearly thought we were younger than we are. Next he was clearly trying to get us to purchase the most expensive dishes so he'd have a higher tip (upsell). He also acted like he thought we wouldn't tip and everytime we declined getting one of his suggestions (like dessert), he became visibly upset.... The server also 'explained veganism' to us, we've been vegan 5yrs, probably longer than him... It came off condescending not helpful. Anyone who has worked in service can easily see when a server does things like this. It was very frustrating and therefore we didn't feel comfortable. We likely won't eat in if we return.
Our second visit was no better. We ordered the Jambalaya, regular cornbread and the unshrimp wrapped in unbacon. The server advised tomorrow is their one yr anniversary which is wonderful. When we asked how long the wait would be he said 'uh 10-15min, we're pretty slow.' We were pretty happy with the time frame for our order considering they were slow and we've seen poor reviews regarding wait times. However we didn't get our order until 30 min later, which is ridiculous. The Jambalaya and rice likely just need to be dished out. The cornbread clearly wasn't fresh and the appetizer just had to be fried. And they only had 3 tables, one had food, one was reviewing the menu and not sure about the last table.
While we were waiting we saw the owner and she was up selling other customers much worse than our experience.
The environment is very sales oriented and is highly uncomfortable. It does not feel friendly at all but rather disingenuous and full of animosity. If you do something a staff member does not want (like all sales people) they clearly show their dislike. They are very pushy. Not an environment for a restaurant.
$7.50 Unshrimp wrapped in unbacon: Not a lot of flavor in the faux meats or the batter or the sauce. They didn't add anything to it, they seemed to have purchased it and fried it. You can literally purchase their unbacon and unshrimp at an Asian mart (we have). There is nothing special about it. It's really frustrating when vegan restaurants purchase stuff like this just to resell it at a huge markup bc vegan restaurants can be hard to find.
$16.99 Jambalaya: Super oily and not much flavor
Side of cornbread: are you kidding me, super dry and little flavor (needed sugar). Tasted like it had been sitting out for days.
The restrooms were decently clean. It seemed like the light in the bathroom was purposefully dim so customers wouldn't be able to see well and hence cover up imperfections or dirt.
The entire place kind of felt like it was a bit cheap but trying to look fancy in order to justify the prices.
The water tasted like it was flavored with mint. This would normally be nice but it was a bit off. It tasted a bit bitter or something along with a city water flavor. We didn't enjoy it.
$5.50 Battered Mushrooms: We enjoyed these. The batter is seasoned and the ranch had a nice flavor. I think I would have preferred a bit more ranch and some personal plates. The server did not give us appetizer plates with the Battered Mushrooms even though we were clearly sharing.
*Pricing without fries or onion rings, they were an additional $4.00
$11.50 Pulled BBQ Sandwich: The flavor was a bit different than I'm used to but overall it was nice.
$12.50 Majesty Burger: It was a beyond burger. It was decent. I would probably get one of the cheaper burgers next time.
I was disappointed that they did not offer sweet tea. I don't understand why they try to have healthy drink options when almost all of their food is fried or full of oil and unhealthy.
Much of the menu is not online. The menu was large, cumbersome and looked very unprofessional.
Overall I think it was an okay stop however not worth the money or the drive. We also did not appreciate how we were treated. Perhaps it's best for splurges or special occasions and take out only.
Cons: Poor and Slow Service (they try to up sell) , Overpriced, Cheap Interior, Pushy, Salesey, disingenuous Staff

Literally THE BEST vegan place in El Paso - Edit
I’m still drooling over how good the food was. My non vegan husband loved it, kept trying to eat more even when we were full.
Read moreWe had the nachos, unbeef philly, mushroom burger, side of mac and cheese, fries, onion rings cooked to perfection with a side of ranch. Side salads were comp. There was so much flavor in everything, my husband even thought it was better than a lot of the non vegan foods he’s had. My husband had the royal punch which was good.
Super affordable too! Service was good and they also gave us a 10% military discount! Everything came out to about $35? And that was A LOT of food. So even without a discount it would still have been like $40ish. They now serve alcohol!
I’ll be dreaming about this place tonight.
Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Great ambiance
Cons: Not centrally located, Honestly no cons

Wasn't as good as I was hoping :( - Edit
The restaurant itself is pretty new at the time I reviewed it, it was also not a rush when I went, so I expected the food to be pretty good since we had the cooks full attention. We had ordered the vegan nachos, the Philly cheese unsteak sandwich and the Richboy Sandwich. I'll start with the nachos: they were alright at best, the cheese sauce needed some more oomph to it, it wasn't seasoned very well. The sour cream was excellent though. The chips we got were from the bottom of a bag (smashed) and they had skimped out majorly on the toppings, it didn't look like the picture you see here, and the entire thing was lukewarm. The seitan had some sort of flavoring on the surface that was really strong, it had a pretty good flavor.
Read moreThe Richboy was bland in taste, it was mostly bread, the unshrimp had good texture but didn't taste like much, and the remoulade wasn't too good either. There were only 3 shrimp on a big roll, I'd say the bread has to be smaller or lut some more shrimp/fixings & condiments in there. However, whoever fried the shrimp did an excellent job, it looked fantastic.
The Philly cheese steak had the same problem as the nachos, the cheese sauce wasn't seasoned / flavorful enough, and the seitan / bread soaked up a lot of the cheese sauce itself, it was a bit runny on here. There needs to be way more onion / bell pepper in the sandwich, as well as more black pepper on the surface of the seitan for that Philly cheese steak flavor. Also, the onion rings were overcooked and the onions on the inside were dehydrated. But the batter on it was fantastic, it just needed to be more seasoned.
Also, all the food wasn't hot, it was warm at best :(
I had high hopes for this place since it's the first full vegan restaurant in El Paso, and I hope that they can up their game since I'm a major supporter of the vegan movement, but definitely the food needs to be taken up a notch. One easy thing to do it bake cookies from scratch rather than get the ones from whole foods (even though those are good, I bet you all can do better 😊).
Also, for a lot of omnis I think the in your face style turkey with a rifle mural on the wall / quotes in the scrolls might come off as pushy, which is something us vegans have been struggling with for years! Maybe something more tasteful like a cross section of cauliflower would do the trick, I think that would get the point across quite well that there are no animal products served here, without guilting someone. That would also fit into the regal theme a bit more.
You want all kinds of people, not just vegans/vegetarians to come in since that will bring business. A neat idea I've seen is offering a discount on Meatless Mondays.
Overall, I love the idea but the food/execution wasn't as good as I had hoped. Good vegan cheese sauces need to use the vegan cheese alternatives available, even though nooch cashews is good, it doesn't provide much variety. Nachos in El Paso have a spicy cheese sauce (Chile con queso!), and Philly cheese steak has an in your face American/provolone cheese sauce, neither of which can be done with just nooch unfortunately 😭 I tried to be as constructive as possible, I want you guys to succeed! You guys are the only game in town!
Suggestions: It'd be great to see the beyond / impossible burger here as well, no other places serve it vegan style and it would of course bring in a lot of people who haven't had it, there are only a few places in town that have the beyond (and I think they are all chains) and only Eloise offers the impossible burger, but that's waaay over on the Westside. 86 the pasta or make it a kids menu option, most vegans can make that on their own at home, and I don't think you all can make the marinara from scratch with that large of a menu.

Nachos, PhillyCheese sandwich, Mac n Cheese, Carrot cake and Chocolate chip cookie - Edit
Tonight I had a take out order and I was delighted with how attentive and kind the girls attended my husband and I. Although we had a take out, they made us feel very welcomed, offered us water and took care of everything perfect! THE NACHOS where great, i like the taste of the "cheese" and everything with it. I only got like 3 little 1 in square of avocado and every one LOVES AVOCADO!! I'd recommend the chef to be nice with avocado so that there is a little in every bite! The PHILLY was a little too salty, i believe it was due to the overload of sauce. THE MAC N CHEESE was SO GOOD. Carrot cake amazing! and cookie to die for! especially when served warm!!! the best! awesome atmosphere and clean! def want to give it another try early in the day!

So happy to have a pure vegan option in El Paso! Owner came to say hello to our table and brought samples so our non-vegan parents could try a variety of meat alternatives. The food was delicious with some nice healthy options on the menu (including a couple of oil-free options!) however, they have A LOT of deep fried foods on the menu for those that want some comfort foods. The BBQ Cauliflower was perfection, the Mac & Cheese Please was solid and Fried Jalepeños were great! The French fries on our visit were perfectly done - not overly greasy.

Best vegan fried chicken ever - Edit
We visited the queen’s table while passing through El Paso on a road trip from Houston to San Francisco. I’ve had the fortune of trying many vegan fried chicken recipes across the country and this was by far the best. The flavors were amazing and the frying was very well done. The menu was extensive which is really wonderful for an all vegan restaurant. The service was also really great.
