Queens Hotel - fit for a Queen!

This is a surprisingly large pub, situate on the village main road. On site car parking is limited so park at the quirky railway station. The evening menu offers plenty of vegan options and breakfast has yet to be tasted - but as an eternal optimist, my hopes are high! We scoffed the piri-piri hummus as a shared starter (which turned out to be huge) and then both tucked into the vegan vegetable curry. I could have weeped! The portions were most generous, the taste was honest and smooth - boasting a medium heat - and rather predictably, the rosé wine slipped down a treat. In such a small village setting, the fact that people know what vegan means is a bonus in itself!
