My favourite restaurant - Edit
My mum and I have been vegan for several years. We are lucky enough to live around 20 mins away from this gorgeous pub. We always receive such a warm welcome from the staff. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here either, everything is always freshly cooked and delicious.
Read moreThe festive menu is insanely good and the portions are generous! I highly recommend the mint chocolate cheesecake it’s beautiful
The pub and staff are also dog friendly and our rescue dog always has plenty of fuss (and the occasional vegan meal).

Best pub in the world 💕 - Edit
Set in beautiful surroundings with a mini waterfall, stream and a family of duck’s, this lovely country pub is full of charm, a large outdoor fairy lit seating area and a cosy setting inside. This pub offers a warm welcome from members of staff who give the feel of one big family, once seated I noticed how accommodating for our fury friends it is too with offerings of a dog menu and blankets to keep them snug. The menu is huge and offers something for everyone. Non vegans should not be put off here as this is the most down to earth plant based food that is extremely high quality, well prepared and extremely tasty, in 10 years of being vegan I’ve never found a gem like this and can only dream of this becoming the norm!

Lovely pub restaurant, platter disappoints. - Edit
A brilliant place for vegans; an oasis in the desert that is Cwmbran. A great pub with pleasant vegan drops, a little restaurant area and a nice covered veranda above a small beer garden downstairs on the street level, adjacent to a lovely little pond.
Read moreThe food is brilliant from what I've had, and they even deliver; the platter of varied meat substitutes i ordered wasn't my personal favourite, but I think would be exceptional to most.
Pros: Ambience superb, Deliver, Lovely food

Amazing! Worth a trip! - Edit
We visited the Queen Inn this summer and had a pint in the lovely beer garden before our meal. Both meals, sides and desserts were amazing!! We were even allowed to stay in our camper in the car park, as we had travelled an hour or so to visit! Well worth a visit even if you’re ravelling from further afar!

What are the chances of dating someone who lives in the same town as this vegan pub and restaurant?
Read moreLike Charlie Bucket, she lives within the shadow of the place where the magic happens.
Coming from London, I couldn’t wait to see my lover and try the food at the Queen Inn ( in no particular order)
The food is amazing and the menu is so good, you simply can’t decide and you’ll be already planning your next trip whilst you’re there for the first.
Customer service is very good and the prices are reasonable.
Ideal for non vegan customers who within minutes will consider why not.
I genuinely hope my relationship with this beautiful welsh woman will be successful, I don’t want her to think I’m after her for the pudding selection at the Queen Inn……..

I can't recommend this place more. A must if you want a vegan steakhouse experience. The staff were incredibly nice. Everything was reasonably priced and portions were massive. A treat to get to try the Juicy Marbles and Redefine Meat steaks.

Absolutely made my birthday! - Edit
Came here for lunch on my birthday as a treat from my wife.
Read moreFirstly, she'd called ahead without my knowledge to tell then it would be my birthday, and when we arrived they had set us a table with decorations and a "happy birthday" banner. Nice touch!
The staff member was very friendly and helpful, without being overbearing.
Having stopped eating meat before I was old enough to try steak, I ordered the "steak" Diane which came with mushroom sauce, and my wife ordered a burger with some peppercorn sauce on the side.
The portions were absolutely enormous, with some very tasty potato wedges, and plenty veg to go along with it. My first experience of "steak" was a good one - very tasty and well cooked!
My wife loved her burger, and as a peppercorn sauce fanatic, it was high praise from her when she loved the Queen Inn's version! I tried it myself (again, never had it before so nothing to compare it to) and found it delicious!
When we go back, though I'd happily order the same again if be really tempted to try something else on the menu as we were impressed by everything they had to offer.
We were in a bit of a rush as we had arrived late and had an activity planned shortly after, but the service was quick. We even ordered a slice of cake to go, and the staff member packed it up with some cream to go with it.
Overall, we loved it and would happily go back. We live in Cardiff so it's a bit of a way to go just for a meal, but it's well worth it!
Pros: Food was amazing, Wide range of options, Excellent staff
Cons: Our house isn't close enough to it 😂

An excellent pub - Edit
We travelled from the north of England to eat here, four days on the trot. It's a must, as the menu is so good! Great food, lovely staff, great music and a good atmosphere. All the wine is suitable for vegans but not all of the beers are. Dogs are welcome and catered for with vegan friendly ice cream.
Read moreWe loved watching the ducks, too.
There's a great outside seating area for warm summer days.
My favourite meals were the fish and chips and the vegetable lasagna. I wasn't so keen on the chicken, leek and bacon pie or the garlic bread which accompanied the lasagna, but everything else was excellent, including the roast b**f with gravy and horseradish. Highly recommended and wish I didn't live 140 miles away.

Out of this world - Edit
Blew my mind. Went for a birthday meal with my family and spend ages trying to decide what to have because it all looked incredible. I had the breaded tofu to start and my husband had the battered gherkin. For the main, my husband had the flank while I had the hunter’s chicken and my daughter the sausage, beans and chips. We had apple pie and custard for dessert. I will be returning very soon to try the rest of the menu!! Highly, highly recommended!
