Perfect! - Edit
A lovely no-frills, traditional local pub, where plant based is completely normalised. Wonderful food, perfectly cooked, and everything vegan, including drinks. Very friendly and welcoming, can't wait to visit again.

Amazing choices and service - Edit
We were up from Cornwall for a weekend in Wales and on the way home we had a birthday lunch to have, and what better choice than searching out the Queen Inn. It had to be done, what with all the great reviews. The staff were so friendly, as were the locals, and the only difficulty was trying to choose what to have out of the vast vegan menu. Phil celebrated with a Scally Wag ale, recommended by the barman (which he loved), whilst we chose. Phil went for the Chilli Beef stir fry with a side of spring rolls and I went for the Hunters Chicken (a chicken piece wrapped in bacon and cheese with bbq sauce). How decadent! We can see how this place requires booking to guarantee a table during the weekends. When we are back in the area, we will definitely visit again (and maybe starve ourselves for a couple of days beforehand so we can fit in pudding too).

Cons: The fact that we couldn't fit more food in!

Pub grub at it's best! - Edit
Buzzing atmosphere and pub grub to be proud of! All vegan and the gluten free options were really good. I enjoyed the curry and my husband dived into a shiitake mushroom pie and chips. Filling, comforting and fabulous. Book a table as it gets really busy and you wouldn'twant to be disappointed!

Worth a 7 hour trip! - Edit
I had the absolute treat of visiting twice when I was in Wales for business from Scotland. The staff are so welcoming and friendly including remembering me when I called to confirm my first booking. The food is amazing! I tried two different starters and mains but had same dessert as it was so good! Huge portions of some of the best food I’ve ever had. Wish I lived closer but worth the 7 hour trip!

So damn good I don’t even know where to start - Edit
Visited three times now and already planning another visit. The food is incredible, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere is so chilled. I honestly don’t have a single negative thing to say! Having a fully vegan pub menu is an absolute dream and every course has always been outstanding. Even had the option to take dessert home to eat in my pyjamas later. Thank you so so much for being the absolute best!

Where Traditional 'Meats' Untraditional! - Edit
The Queen Inn must be the most untraditional traditional pub in the UK. The building dates back to the 1800s and possesses all the fixtures of a traditional Welsh pub. The inside is comfortable and cosy with a great bar, and the pub also has plenty of interesting things in the interior to look at. How the pub is completely unique and untraditional, of course, is through it being 'the worlds first plant-based steakhouse'!
Read moreThey offer many tasty and interesting steaks, including a 3D printed flank by Redefine Meat, which I particularly enjoyed and is available to order as a main or as a part of the pubs infamous Mixed Grill Sharer! As my friend and I travelled from North Wales, we decided to make the most of The Queen Inn and treated ourselves to starters and desserts. The Salt and Pepper Battered Tofu and the Crispy Chilli Beef were truly exceptional as they were perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned with both containing a bit of a kick, and the homemade Biscoff Cheesecake also stood out as the flavour and texture were just fabulous!
If this was my local, I would be visiting every chance I had as there are SO many things to try in addition to their steaks. The Lamb Donner Kebab and Korean Cauli Wings, in particular, caught my eye! The Queen Inn serves traditional pub grub, with a new menu running from March, but all made vegan, nut-free, and a good portion of the dishes are also gluten-free. They had a large selection of drinks, and they have a great beer garden and are dog friendly! It really is an exceptional pub and restaurant, and their success is well deserved. To top it off, the staff were all great and really took an interest in their customers. The Queen Inn is a MUST visit for vegans, and I myself can't wait to go again and will wear my newly purchased official The Queen Inn hat during my next visit! 🏴🌱🥩🍻 #Veganuary

Best vegan restaurant in UK imo - Edit
Drove 4 hours each way with my partner for this meal after talking about it for over a year - we weren’t disappointed. Had the big sharer plate with both steaks and it was just unbelievable, I haven’t had anything like that since going vegan 5 years ago. Think the bill came to about £100 including a bottle of wine and two starters which we thought was reasonable. The story behind this place and the staff are great, I love what they’re doing!

As a Londoner I am spoilt for choice when it comes to vegan food. But let me tell you, if you’re ever thinking to travel to The Queen Inn for a vegan feast, whether you’re a vegan or not, you should do it NOW!
Read moreWe had the sharing platter, chilli beef and mac and cheese and chocolate fudge cake and we were incredibly happy with everything that was served to us.
Susan, who was our waitress, has some great customer service and can tell you a good story or two.
We struggled to get a taxi from the station and the pub’s landlord came to pick us up in his red van. If that’s not good customer service, I don’t know what is. Don’t take this as an excuse to ask them to pick you up though 😆
Will be back! Thank you and keep up the good work #Veganuary

We visited The Queen Inn during October and booked ahead letting them know we had a dog. When we arrived we were shown to our table, given a blanket for our dog and told that he could sit on the bench with us! Then we were presented with the menu which has an incredible amount of food to choose from. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, service was wonderful and it was a delightful to eat at an all vegan pub which was so dog friendly. Attached are the photos of our food - Mac and cheese with bacon, battered tofu and crispy chilli beef to start. Chicken and ribs and beef fajitas for main. We took dessert home to heat up which was also delicious. Can’t wait to go back! #Veganuary

My new favourite place - Edit
I came here for my birthday as I’ve been meaning to try it for some time. I was so happy to see the regular menu was.m back on from my bday, due to the festive menu being on until Boxing Day.
Read moreI had high expectations as I have seen so many fantastic reviews so I was praying that it was going to be good. And my my, it exceeds my expectations! Me and my partner shared the mixed grill and we struggled to finish it. The pictures certainly do not do it justice.
Thank you so much for an incredible birthday meal and I am going to be sure to visit the Queen Inn regularly, despite it being two hours from my home!

The kind of food you can only dream of 💚 - Edit
The best vegan restaurant! FACT!
Read moreWith the biggest vegan menu, the only issue I have is picking what to have to eat. Take my advice go with a few people and share between you!
My recommendations - crispy beef starter (cannot be beaten and there will be riots if it’s ever taken off the menu)
Main - fillet steak - if it was any other place I’d be sending it back and reiterating I ordered the vegan steak. Served with aaallll the sides…. The chips in the peppercorn sauce is spot on!!
Pudding - well you’ll be so full the only option is takeaway!! The menu changes regularly I’ve had the choc fudge many times, stuffed cookies, cookie dough all amazing.
The staff are all brilliant and super friendly, knowledgeable and chatty.
Bonus point is cold weather the fire is lit for super cosy feels.
Ps dogs aren’t just allowed, they actually want you to bring them and have sausages for them on the menu.
There’s also a kids menu that staff will happily adapt to suit your little ones preferences.
I cannot praise the queen inn enough and wish them all the success!
Oh and they have merch so you can spot fellow queen inners out and about! They also do a vegan festival with stalls and vegan ice cream van.
