Amazing pub food - Edit
All vegan, nut free kitchen, all delicious! Really good portion sizes, we had to get some of our food boxed up to take home. Ultimate burger and the steak with peppercorn sauce were particularly excellent. Great service, lovely ambience and really nice outdoor seating area too. Oh, and ducks by the stream!

Don't come for the roast - Edit
Unfortunately, we came on a Sunday so we could get roasts only and they were nothing special, definitely not worth the drive. The starters were great though! Vibe and service were okay.

Amazing. Want to go back already. - Edit
Went to the Queen Inn tonight after a long drive on route to Cardiff. The traffic had been bad and so we didn’t have much time before we needed to leave. We told staff this and they very kindly got the food out to us within 15 minutes. They were really nice about it and didn’t make us feel like an inconvenience. The price was good and the portion sizes were amazing. The food was fantastic. I wish we’d not been time bound so I could’ve tried more. Definitely will find a reason to have to come back. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely menu. Huge 5 ⭐️‘s!

Underwhelming - Edit
I was quite disappointed with the food here, it all looked incredible but wasn't the best I've ever had. The carbonara was very rich and sickly by the end of it and the tofu was very plain. The wrap was nice. I would visit here again as the location was really nice and staff were friendly however I would definitely try something different from the menu.

Amazing fully vegan pub food and a lovely setting! This was our second visit and it was so worth it. We both had the chickn and ribs with a side of onion rings and caramel cheesecake for dessert. Can't wait to visit again.

A Vegan Culinary experience! - Edit
So easy to book either on their new website, phone, WhatsApp but we use Facebook messenger! New menu has hit, we had the Crispy Chilli B**f to start and the flavours and the texture is immense! Gill had S*lmon which omg was amazing again the texture and flavours are superb! I had the R*bs and Ch*cken combo, the bbq r*bs are the best if ever eaten! For dessert we shared the Biscotti cheesecake and a takeaway Jaffa Cake Cake, the service is excellent with just enough time between courses! Excellent value for money! Cannot wait to go again!

This place definitely lives up to the hype. We had the chicken and ribs, fish and chips and a few of the small plates. All were amazing, one of the best vegan restaurants we've visited. Definitely visit if you're in the area.

Well, This Place Lives Up To The Hype! - Edit
Well, blimey, there is a lot of hype surrounding this place and I actually went in expecting that it couldn't live up to it (and that they don't totally do the sort of food I like), I was worried they relied too heavily on bought in vegan meats, I was totally wrong on all accounts.
Read moreBelieve the hype.
All of the food was cooked to an exceptionally high quality. I'm often wary of ordering Asian dishes from British run places as they often disappoint. They really did not here. The main events of each dish were perfect and don't need much talking about. It's the details that matter.... dishes that were meant to be sticky and crispy (the crispy chilli beef) are quite a test even for many chinese restaurants and I've been disappointed by quite a few, this crispy chilli beef was just perfect. All vegetables in all the dishes were cooked to perfection.
The reliance on bought in mock meat isn't a problem as they know exactly how to play to each products strengths.
Pros: Great ambience and space, Amazing food, Friendly staff
Cons: Do book a table if you want to eat here

Wonderful place - Edit
What an incredible find, the menu is amazing and it was hard to choose. However, you can hardly make a wrong choice, everything we had was delicious. One highlight were definitely the BBQ ribs - we had them as a starter and could not resist to get another plate as a dessert instead of a cake😁(which I’m sure would have also been fantastic). We will definitely be back if we’re in the area.

Great vegan pub - Edit
I can't rate The Queen Inn highly enough! The staff are so friendly and clearly really exited about about what they are producing. As vegans it's great to be able to choose from an entire menu, with options for those who like meat alternatives and those who do not. We had chilli beef ( on the waitresses recomendation) and it was amazing. We then had hunters chicken and juicy marbles fillet, both were outstanding.

Humongous Portions! - Edit
Visited not once but THREE times over a stay in Cwmbran. Firstly excellent menu choice - but it is heavily centred around fake-meats which I am not always a massive fan of. Had a nice burger with mac & cheese (which was a little on the dry side), a mixed grill (which we shared) and some sides (definitely recommend the cauliflower wings and crab cakes!). The portions are absolutely huge (which did make me think about the potential of food wastage) but you can ask for takeaway box. Finally had a Sunday roast which was great aside from the plain boiled potatoes which weren't needed. Even included a vegan yorkshire pudding - my first time having one not home-made! Service was brilliant, and even though I personally thought some items may need some minor refinement, it is amazing to see a fully vegan classic pub.

Must Visit! - Edit
Visited twice in our 4 night trip to the area. Food was awesome and I would highly recommend. Over 2 visits we tried crispy beef, Mac n cheese, lamb skewers & battered tofu (starters)chicken & ribs combo, Queen Inn burger, beef lasagne & lamb kebab topped fries (mains). Portions were generous (the kebab fries defeated my mother half)

Fantastic food! - Edit
We really enjoyed our visit to The Queen Inn. The staff were all very friendly, the service was great. The menu is extensive, and heavy on faux-meats, which we're in to, so that was great for us! We both tried the 'R*bs & ch*cken combo' which has some BBQ 'ribs and some garlic & herb 'chicken' breast, with corn-on-the-cob, chips and salad. We also ordered a mac 'n' cheese side, and the Korean BBQ cauliflower wings side. Everything was delicious! The portions are large. I had a slice of the caramel cheesecake to take-away and that was great too.
