Ahhh i'm sorry - Edit
Well I don't normally like to leave negative reviews on places but.... I think there are much better options in this area. My smoothie was bland, icey and i found a hair in it... the menu was really extensive so maybe I just got the wrong thing but I did not enjoy my caribbean breakfast bowl very much either. I would be willing to try again but until then I think it's worth the extra drive into providence for something much better

Small casual cafe with a full vegan menu with lots of options. Breakfast served until mid-afternoon with lunch service starting at noon. I ordered the tofu scramble with breakfast potatoes, toast, and coffee, and my husband got the tofu scramble with French toast. Our meals were very good and the staff was quite knowledgeable about food allergies and preferences. Recommend giving this cafe a try!

I love it here! - Edit
I haven’t been to the new location until today but this place is always my go-to when I come back to visit friends and family from NH who aren’t vegan. The owner is amazing and she always comes out and talks to customers when it’s slow. I got the s’mores french toast and veggie lovers’ bake! They have separate menus for vegan and gluten free customers! 10/10 amazing! I got the s’mores french toast and a tofu scramble with custom veggies.

Great breakfast - Edit
Passing through and I got a little worried that this might not be the most vegan friendly town when the lady in my hotel elevator had a PETA t-shirt (people eating tasty animals). But luckily this place showed up on happy cow. They have a very large vegan breakfast menu and the veggie vegan bake was delish! It’s not all vegan so only allowed to get 4 stars.

Great for vegan breakfast - Edit
Breakfast here was great. The food was worth the wait for it (I assume there was only 1 chef) but portions were smaller than most breakfast places serve. I would recommend the vegan pancakes!

Quaint little cafe that reminds me of a lot of the cafes/breakfast restaurants in the south. Everything is made to order and they have dedicated vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free menus! I would highly recommend this place, especially if you need to cater to a group of people with specific dietary needs. The cafe is located in a shopping center without good signage so make sure to look twice before driving away!

If I could give this place 5 stars...I would! ❤️ - Edit
Went for breakfast. It was delicious and it has soooo many vegan options! The staff is wonderful and the owner even took the time out of cooking to come chat with us about her experience through COVID and gave us her menu for takeout options for dinner and lunch! Please support this place. The owner is great and works hard to keep her restaurant afloat during these trying times! Can’t wait to try something vegan for dinner!

Best vegan food around - Edit
Easily a 5 star rating, but due to the app not allowing 5 stars to certified vegan places, i had to use 4. Undoubtedly, the greatest hidden gem for vegans in this area. One of the first questions the wait staff asks you is if you have any dietary restrictions, and upon mentioning that you’re a vegan, you’re presented with an entire vegan menu. Daily vegan specials which will surprise you (i got the vegan breakfast nachos one time, unreal)
Read moreEven though the owner isn’t vegan, she will ALWAYS make sure that your meal is fully vegan and made from scratch as much as she can, not to mention the delicious homemade desserts she has every day.
Lunch menu has homemade vegan burgers, vegan hot dogs, pad thai rice bowls grilled cheeses and quesadillas, not to mention vegan cheese and mock meats for the quesadilla. The Purple Rooster stands as the only
restaurant i’ve ever visited that gives you a survey after each meal so they can improve on anything they might need to, AND the owner is always taking suggestions on new vegan dishes to makes.
This is the only rating i’ve ever given in a public forum type app like this, but The Purple Rooster is above most certified vegan places i’ve been to.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Owner is super nice and accommodating, Always atleast one vegan dessert
Cons: 2.00 charge for making meal vegan. Totally worth

Worst vegan experience yet - Edit
I was very excited to try this place. When we got there (party of 3) we were seated and received vegan/vegetarian menus. The menus were a little unlcear regarding which items were specifically vegan & the waitress was less than helpful in answering questions. Two of us decided on the tofu scramble with (questionably vegan) gf toast, tofu bacon, and home fries. We waited about 2 hours to receive our food despite the restaurant not being very busy. We had to continually ask for items (water, butter, home fries) before the waitress actually brought them. The tofu scramble was the smallest portion I have ever seen. Maybe 5 bites total. With a single slice of cheese placed on top unmelted. And worst of all the tiny tofu meal cost about $14. Definitely over priced for the quality and quantity of food received. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother waiting it out here.

Impressed! Good food, homey atmosphere, and lots of vegan options!! - Edit
A cute little place that has breakfast and lunch. I went during breakfast and was so happy they had dairy free chocolate chips to go in the pancakes! I was also super excited because they cane with a little container of vegan butter! They usually make their own vegan sausage and bacon, that’s pretty cool. I was so excited to go here and I was not disappointed. My mom (a non vegan) said they had really good hot chocolate. She also said the French toast with PB and banana was really good. Friendly staff too. It’s a long drive (at least an hour) but I’m looking forward to going back!

Nice cafe in Plainville with vegan options - Edit
I went here for brunch on a weekend. The owner is very keen to expand her vegan selection, and open to suggestions. They have a dedicated vegetarian menu with the vegan items marked. They also have daily vegan specials.
