AMAZING Vegan Tea and Treats!!! - Edit
The Prince of Wales hotel offers a daily tea in a beautiful venue that includes quiet and calming music playing in the background. Being vegan, we needed to give them 24 hour notice for our reservation so they would have our food prepared specially to meet our dietary needs.
Read moreWhen we arrived, we were seated at a beautiful table set for two with elegant tea cups. With guidance from our server, we each chose a tea that suited our individual tastes. Shortly thereafter, large china teapots came out with our individual selections, followed by a three tiered tray of savory and sweet treats.
The savory items included cucumber, roasted veggies, and tofu sandwiches, along with an open faced guacamole. The guacamole was our least favorite, but the others were delicious.
The sweet items included amazing sweet potato brownies, coconut truffles, a chocolate chip cookie, a fruit filled pastry, and s delicious raisin scone. Berries accompanied the delectable treats, along with vegan butter and preserves. The vegan items are also gluten free.
Overall, a romantic and special food adventure!!

A chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc each, and a little later a shared calvados = superb.

Amazing Afternoon Tea - Edit
So nice to have a lovely Vegan afternoon tea that is delicious, has variety, and is in no way inferior (or just plain sad) in comparison to the non-vegan version.
Read moreTotal surprise to find out that The Prince of Wales offered a full Vegan Afternoon Tea. It was fab! Savoury sandwiches, a warm scone, and several different yummy sweet things on our tray and your choice of tea (or champagne if you're so inclined).
My non-veg friends were delighted to have afternoon tea there as well.
We enjoyed vegan breakfasts, and vegan dinner at their Noble restaurant as well. No chance to try their Harvest Bowl this trip but would absolutely return.
Pros: Lovely atmosphere, Friendly staff, Delicious food
Cons: A bit expensive but food portions worth the cost
