Seperate vegan menu

Lots of vegan options - have to ask for the vegan menu, Mostly with a vegan bean salsa or jackfruit option as the main filling.
I had the ultimate vegan burrito bowl and it was very yummy, but $26!!
A great cocktail menu, but $20 for a margarita!
Also had the entree cauliflower bites, nice sauce with a bit of zing, $17.

Been here a few times and love it. Delicious food and a few vegan staff members!

Has a whole vegan menu, which is delicious! The waffle fries are amazing. Only disappointing part was that there was no vegan red wine available.

Pros: Whole vegan menu , Nice location , Friendly and accomodating staf

Cons: No vegan red wine

Boring and poor value

Disappointing food little taste although there was a reasonable vegan menu it was all variations on the same “kit food “ approach of too many Mexican eateries, the same 4 or 5 base ingredients stuffed in a taco a burrito or on nachos. We were asked to pay extra for the gloppy sauce that was meant to add some character to a very forgetful meal..... apart from the lecture on the sauce that wasn’t worth it ( and if they do make it themselves ) what is the glop ingredient? Xanthan? Cornflour?

Pros: Vegan options

Huge variety on there vegan menu. They even have vegan cheese. This is by far the best Mexican I have tried on the coast so far.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Best vegan nachos!

Opposite a playground and the beach, this funky restaurant has two pages of vegan options plus vegan desserts too! The vegan jackfruit nachos were probably the best I've ever had - they even got the vegan cheese to melt onto the corn chips and it was utterly amazing. Loved the guac, my son had the guac and corn chips while we all shared the nachos and also had a quesodilla and a burrito. We were stuffed but thought it was excellent nosh. We got the vegan biscuits to take away for another time.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Kid friendly with colouring-in activity, Really friendly staff

Soo good!

Heard that the Prickly Pinata had a vegan menu so was keen to come and check the place out. So happy that we did. The vegan menu is really good and incorporated into the main menu, so it's not a little side effort, it's got lots of option and dairy substitutes for all the Mexican essentials like sour cream and cheese. We ate a full three courses because we wanted to try it all. Definitely try the bean nachos!! Staff were really friendly and service was great too. Will be back!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, delicious

Cons: None

A delicious surprise!

I was a bit sceptical at first cos Prickly's isn't a fully vegan establishment but I was really impressed that they had about 12 or so fully vegan options on their new vegan menu. I went with my partner and another friend and we are all big eaters so we ordered a few different things to share. The Ultimate vegan burrito bowl was a hit - apparently it's the most popular dish on the new menu- it has literally everything in it (except the animal stuff, of course!)

We also had the nachos with beans, salsa, cheese and guac. I'm not usually a fan of vegan cheese but the one they use was suprisingly yummy and melty and cheesy! We then had their vegan tacos with their own mexican style pulled jackfruit - so good!

My own personal fav was the enchilada though - such a yummy combination of fresh flavours - u can get it with or without vegan cheese as well.

If you're in the mood for mexican - this place is definitely worth checking out. It's definitely the most vegan friendly Mexican place on the coast I'd say.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fresh ingredients, Manager is vegan

Great vegan menu!

A lot of tasty, well made options on their new fully vegan menu! Have a full range of Mexican goodness (believe me I tried it all) includes guacamole, vegan aioli, vegan cheese, sauces and spiced jackfruit! Good prices for a lot of food! Worth a visit if your keen on some good Mexican food!
