The Potholder Cafe P3 is a cute little place in the heart of Long Beach & is definitely a good medium between meat-eaters & vegans. they have a separate vegan, vegetarian & gluten free menu. they have a veggie spud dish, a tofu scramble, & a vegan benedict. all gluten free dishes are not vegan as they contain eggs & dairy. i went with the vegan benedict, & to my surprise (because i don’t like hollandaise sauce) it was very yummy, well flavored, & super filling! definitely stop here on your way through the coast.

Tried finding a happy medium for my partner and I and found this place in a whim. Vegan menu is very good and my partner said her food was also very good. Very good option if you and your non vegan partner want to eat some good breakfast/lunch food together.

New eatery, old diner appeal. - Edit
Cozy and welcoming place, starting from the coffee they put outside for those waiting in line. The patio in the back is charming and pretty. The food is good, and is the same as the other two locations further south in Long Beach. I've had the Vegan eggs Benedict and Vegan burrito and they're satisfying and tasty although not the best I've had. The fact that they're on the menu though is appreciated and they are indeed vegan - the tofu is clearly tofu, not in any meat alternative disguise. Support a local eatery that's clearly loved by its nearby residents, and share a meal with omnivorous friends because you'll all be happy with what this place offers. Staff is friendly and the ambiance is lovely.
