Delicious, affordable, and lots of selection - Edit
The Planet is one of my favourite places in town to eat! The vegan menu keeps growing as the owner works to phase out dairy and eggs. Currently all the baked goods are vegan, and there is a huge vegan menu. The sandwiches are served on two thick slabs of house made bread. My favourites are the chili, Planet Claire sandwich, mocha cookie, and walnut burger, but I’ve never tried something that wasn’t delicious! Highly recommend!

great food! - Edit
Food was great. They have a separate vegan menu with tons of options. We tried the eggless salad, buffalo bbq wrap, chilli a raspberry pineapple smoothie, and a s’mores cookie. All good! Potato bread is tastier than the rye. It wasn’t too busy when we went in but took over 30 minutes to get our food, that was the only downside.

Great spot with a separate vegan menu - Edit
The separate menu makes selecting a meal easier. That said, there is so much to choose from....

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
I’ve been going to planet for a while and always have a great experience there. The restaurant itself is funky and the servers are great. They’ve recently expanded their vegan items - though there were already quite a few before. But now there are even more! I love the buffalo tempeh and the potato bread, but have fever had anything here that I didn’t like.

The Planet - Edit
I really enjoy lunch at the Planet The sandwiches are great but even better the staff are real people, they don't go into automatic but remain genuine.

Wholesome, slightly bland - Edit
My gf and I had an avocado sandwich, chilli and soup. All three came with multiple one-inch slices of thick homemade bread, so the meal was half untoasted bread. It was lovely bread, but we took most of it home in order to avoid carb comas. The entrees were so-so. They lacked flavour, though they were quite healthy. Some introduction of spices would help improve things.
Read moreNo problem with ordering vegan options, which was a bonus.
The atmosphere wasn't so crash hot. Low ceilings and a cement floor made me feel like I was eating in a basement, though it wasn't in one.
Great for families, as there was a kid's corner with things to play with... Right by our table... With excitable kids making lots of noise.
Not sure if we'll go back.

Needs more Vegan options - Edit
This place is cool, but they seem to refuse to offer an option to eggs when a lot of their menu has eggs in it. If they offered an *OPTION* so people could chose - eggs or tofu scrambler, it would totally rock. Great bean chilli.

Cons: No alternative to Eggs, Cold in morning.
