Bakery
Maison Thouvard bakery from LA's Melrose Ave opened a little shop here in Oct 2018. Offers coffee, a vegan sandwich and crepes can be made vegan on request. Removed April 2024: Limited vegan options.

Very limited vegan options - Edit
Pastries aren’t vegan anymore. I came here expecting to find more vegan options, but the menu has only one vegan sandwich. The nice couple said the crepes can be made vegan cuz the crepe mixture has no eggs. Pasties aren’t vegan.

NOT VEGAN - Edit
Serves animal products, only a few vegan options. Would not recommend, go support one of the many ALL vegan businesses in the area

Great vegan chia croissants and vegan brioches! Bakery reminds me of Paris! Love - Edit
They have fresh squeezed orange juice like in Paris bakeries. Best place to get vegan pastries in Santa Monica

Great vegan options - Edit
Lovely French bakery & coffee shop. We got the brioche & Russian tea cake which were both yummy! They also had white & regular choc chip cookies & scones. Soy, oat, almond & coconut milk for coffee. Lovely little cafe.

Vegan Brioche - Edit
This is a small bakery will a good selection of vegan options. In my opinion it is the best place to buy vegan brioche in town. They sell out early all the time.

Vegan Croissants!!! - Edit
This small French bakery has created the best vegan croissant I have had outside of Paris. There are other vegan options but I only had enough space in my belly for the croissant and the brownie. The croissant is what dreams are made of!!! I highly recommend supporting this sweet French family run business on Main Street!!!

Small and simple - Edit
This is a little bakery shop that just opened, and as you walk in, you immediate see the counter display of the day's selection. We stopped in a couple times. Here's my review of The Place to Be.
Read moreWe were pleasantly surprised to see that the muffins were all vegan, so we bought a few to share. The first few we bought were dry, probably from having been left out too long. However, the ones we bought on the second visit were much better: moist and yummy. We've tried the vegan apple pie (to take home), and that was all right. was vegan. On the second visit we saw that there was vegan croissant and vegan brioche. Croissant was a bit dense but had a good flavor. Brioche was light and buttery. Overall, we were happy to see that they offer vegan baked options. The prices, however, are quite high.
Pros: vegan options, good flavors
Cons: expensive
