No vegan cheese! Slightly disappointing - Edit
We went to this place with a couple of non vegan friends specifically so I could have a vegan pizza with vegan cheese. When we got there I was informed they did not have a vegan menu nor any vegan cheese. I was able to order a pizza without cheese and make do, but we went to this place because we saw on happy how they had vegan cheese. Not sure if they plan on re stocking or not. Still ate a cheese-less veggie pizza so life went on but disappointing to say the least. Bit of a pain dragging my friends to a place that I thought would have vegan options, to them show up and have to custom order one.

They have a vegan menu that you can ask for and Violife mozzarella for the pizzas! My pizza was delicious and I’d definitely recommend this spot.

Best pizza in Jaco - Edit
The first (and only) vegan pizza shop in town! I'm a vegan travel agent who lives nearby, and reached out to The Pizza Shop in the hopes they would be interested in adding vegan cheese to their menu. The owner Kevin replied right away and was very receptive. He not only wanted to do a simple swap out for dairy cheese, but he actually created a dedicated vegan menu. I helped him source the cheese, which right now is Violife. He may add on a brand made in Costa Rica in the future as well. This is just the beginning, next steps are to expand to include vegan salads and apps and other yummy stuff once the word gets out and the demand is there. I can't say enough good things about this place. The dough and sauces are made in house, and the vegan pizza is just out of this world delicious. The service is super top notch and the staff have all been trained on the new vegan offerings. It's a fun location, right in the heart of all the action on the main strip. Open late too (which can be hard to find here)!
