Serves meat, vegan options available. A Wetherspoon chain pub/restaurant. Ask for the separate vegan menu which offers multiple choices, such as vegan cooked breakfast, teriyaki noodles, bean chilli, hummus & roasted vegetable wrap, sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry, among others. Baked beans reported to be vegan as of Oct 2019. Dessert may be an apple crumble (minus custard/cream) or something else. Plant milk available for drinks. Note that the food selection may vary from restaurant to restaurant. Open Mon-Wed 08:00-00:00, Thu-Sat 08:00-01:00, Sun 08:00-00:00.

Really disappointing effort - Edit
I would avoid the vegan burger, it tasted ok, but not exactly a dinning experience. Literally just a patty plonked inside a bun with a handful of chips. The sort of plate you would expect from your aunt if you turned up at her house and she had nothing in, and you were 6 years old. I don’t even want to check how much I paid for it because it will just make me angry.
Read moreTo be fair the baked potato with vegetables looked like a better option.
Every other restaurant in Largs with vegan options was fully booked last Sunday, and the Steamer wasn’t, not difficult to work out why.
Pros: Location
Cons: Overpriced , Underwhelming

Handy place for vegan food - Edit
We stopped by the Paddle Steamer in Largs for a vegan breakfast after getting off the ferry from Millport. Typical Wetherspoon's grub and cheap and cheerful. Nice looking pub inside with good views over the water and watching the ferry coming in.

Nothing special - Edit
I visited here with my Mum and Dad, who are omnivores. The menu is typical fish, chips burger Wetherspoons fare with some vegan options - food was ok but nothing special. The place was very busy and the bar staff taking our order was not very friendly. The view is nice if you get a table near the sea side.

Choice for Vegans - Edit
There is a separate vegan menu offering reasonable choice for vegans, although it would be nice if they used vegan cheese for the pizza rather than simply leaving it off and like wise have vegan ice cream or custard rather than just apple pie, but then you could pop next door to Geraldo and get a vegan chocolate ice cream and if you're over 18 a gun sorbet
