Good food and service - Edit
Nice quiet pub (in February) with a few vegan options - banana blossom (fish) and chips; falafel burger; risotto. Good service too and decent beer.

Lovely pub, staff, food - Edit
Friendly waitress genuinely wanting to understand our requirements. Reserved us a table that gave our two labs plenty of space. Nice pub. All round happy experience.

Cosy, modern pub with friendly staff - Edit
Came here for the vegan fish and chips, a great variety and friendly staff. I had the vegan fish & chips and my mother had the vegan roast, both were tasty and well sized.

Amazing vegan fish and chips - Edit
A little gem in Camber, amazing to have a veggie option in the land of meat and fish. We had the banana blossom "fish" and chips and was brilliant. Will definitely return.

Excellent vegan ‘fish’ n’ chips - Edit
The vegan fish n’ chips made with banana blossom is excellent. I don’t think there were any other vegan options but it didn’t matter because this dish was delicious. And our expectations for a range of vegan options in Rye/Camber were low.
Read moreVisited The Owl on a day trip to Camber at the start of September. Because of the pandemic, the restaurant is bookings only but we arrived at 12 when it opened and they were able to fit us in because it was quiet. Plenty of outdoor seating, though we were the only ones because it was so windy. Felt very comfortable eating here re: physical distancing measures implemented.
Staff very friendly.
Pros: Friendly staff, Excellent food , Outdoor seating
Cons: Limited vegan options
