A MUST!!!!

Great food and coffee!!!! Everything on the menu has a great vegan version. The breakfast tacos are yum!!! But I love the FLT (BLT).

Pros: Service, Food, Coffee

Cons: You need to book!! 😉

Best lunch!

Best lunch I’ve had in a long time! I wish I could give it more than 4 stars. I had The Dirty South burger. The mock southern fried chicken in the burger was delicious.

Everything can be made vegan. EVERYTHING

This has to be the best non vegan cafe in the sense that all items can be made vegan so you don’t miss out. I got the vegan halloumi, cauliflower and corn fritters. They were cheesy and delicious. The soy latte was hot too, but not burnt. Excellent work.

@tiggy you’re right they could easily go entirely vegan with an easy adjustment to the menu. Hopefully in the future they move towards that, until then I think this is a good option for vegans in the area who are eating with non vegan friends/family. (Instead of just avocado on toast)

yom! would give 5 stars if i could. despite how busy it was the staff were super nice and attentive. the food was great. i got the chicken ceaser salad burger. the whole menu being able to make vegan is something all restaurants should do. great work!

Amazing

I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.Anything can be made vegan and I love how affordable everything was. It also did not cost extra to make it vegan which I appreciated. The fried chicken in the burger was delicious, and I also had a iced chocolate, be prepared the servings are huge.

The best!

This place is so vegan friendly! Everything on the menu can be made vegan. My go to is the baked vegan eggs which has a tofu scramble substitute. Heaps of vegan cakes as well and the owners are lovely!!

Fave new place in Camberwell!

Usually when places have vegan options you'd expect it to be one of two with minus the eggs or something. But EVERYTHING on the menu can be made vegan! So great!

Pros: Everything can be made vegan, Modern looking place , Can bring non vegan friends there

Cons: Quite pricey , Not really in Camberwell but only a few mins away, Can get very busy

What's not to like?

Great service, outdoor seating (as well as indoor) and a vast selection of vegan items.

I loved the pancakes. Not usually one for sweet breakfasts, I was tempted by the pancakes which were on special. Fluffy and tasty, not overly sweet with the addition of berries, and beautifully IG-worthy. Great coffee too

Will definitely be back.

Vegan French Toast

The Old Garage - New Favourite!

When a cafe claims to have a plant based option for everything on the list it’s a little hard to believe. From experience I expect ingredients to be left off - but the cost is the same!
Not at The Old Garage! They deliver on the promise with perfection! We had the Corn, Cauliflower & Halloumi Fritters and the Breakfast Tacos. Both were delicious - nothing went back to the kitchen! Looking forward to returning to try more!

Pros: Plant based options for everything on the menu, Lovely space and pooch friendly, Very helpful and engaged staff

Cons: Some add ons are expensive

Wish I could give 5 stars

Can you say YUMMMMMM!!! Everything on the menu can be made vegan!!! We got the Mac and cheese and pancakes. Also drinks & a take away cake that was ** chefs kiss
Great portion sizes, friendly staff and DOG friendly pretty sure they do puppachinos 🐶
They also have a specials board which I have ordered from before and is always yum!
Highly recommend if you’re around camberwell

Everything can be made vegan!

Beautiful cafe where every menu item can be made vegan. The owners are very passionate about making plant based eating accessible to everyone. Meal sizes are generous and the staff are very helpful. Glad I discovered this place!

(Note the rating is limited to 4 stars by Happy Cow for any restaurants that also serve meat. So the 4 star rating is not because I wasn't happy with the meal or service).

Fun and tasty

One of the most welcoming cafés in Melbourne, the OG has plenty of space and the usual safety protocol. The menu allows plant based options to be an easy ordinary choice. And there’s plenty of different options to choose from. I went with the sliders, a decadent American soft sweetness with a fine scramble. This is a suburban garage with International flair.

Beautiful vegan + dog friendly cafe

I recently discovered this cafe close to where I live. It’s fantastic becasue every single meal can be made vegan, unlike any other cafe in the area. It also has great ambience. A perfect local eat out to take friends!

Pros: All meals have vegan options available , Very dog friendly! , Great atmosphere
