Comforting - Edit
This place offers a variety of vegan-friendly dishes. The noodle bowls are HUGE. Everything was delicious and satisfying, we would definitely recommend it.

Really good! - Edit
Who doesn't love a good noodle place? There are several labeled vegan options. I got the spring noodle soup bowl with veggies and fried tofu, and the seaweed salad on the side. Both were really good! I mean like REALLY good! Possibly my favorite noodle soup dish from any restaurant. Service was very fast and friendly. #Veganuary

Don’t bother - Edit
Not sure how they’ve survived… food was awful. Their non-vegan options must be amazing. Save your time.

Meh. - Edit
I was really excited for a vegan version of Dan Dan Noodles and the use of TVP, but when the food actually arrived I was disappointed. It's not that the food was unpalatable, it was just solidly mediocre, and not particularly authentic in flavor.

Quick Service - Edit
The service was quick and customer service was good. We ordered Sour Carrots; Silver Potatoes, Kimchi, Spring Rolls, Sesame Noodles and TVP and Veggies. We weren’t a huge fan, but the food was decent

I’ve never had a more mediocre meal in AVL - Edit
I’m very confused by the positive reviews. This was uninspired Asian food. I had soup and it was so meh. Potato appetizer was not good at all. The only halfway decent thing we ate was the spring rolls and that’s because they were probably frozen and fried.

So so good! - Edit
Absolutely loved it! Wonderful casual spot with lots of options and excellent service. Noodle bowls, spring rolls, crispy tofu, and sesame tofu were all excellent! Also very affordable prices. We tried to go all out and it still was not expensive.

Lots of Delicious Vegan Items on Menu - Edit
We had a lovely lunch sitting outside on their patio. We ordered many items including steamed veg dumplings, kimchi, pickled sour carrot, spring rolls, Dan Dan Noodle Soup, Home-style Tofu. Really delicious and fast. Tons of veg items and clearly marked on their menu. Great place to sit and enjoy Asheville. Across the street from the Art Museum.

Vegan items indicated on menu! - Edit
All vegan options were specified on the menu, which is always comforting. We had the fried and steamed spring rolls, the homestyle tofu and Dan Dan noodle soup. All were great and very filling! It wasn’t too busy when we went, but there was little indoor seating.

Nice! - Edit
Cute little restaurant in downtown Asheville. My favorite was the Dan Dan noodle soup and the fried tofu appetizer. Very good and affordable! The sesame tofu entree (which my husband ate) was VERY sweet with no veggies. Also, we waited outside for about 30 minutes for a table and it was pretty cold!

We had the basil eggplant, fried spring rolls, Qing Gang Cai, and the Dan Dan noodles. All of these were amazing!! For all of this (4 orders of the spring rolls) our meal was $35! Such a great price and great food. Can not wait to go back.

TVP w Veg and Dan Dan Noodles - Edit
I went with a friend on a cold night. There is very little room inside to wait for a table. Luckily after 10 mins we were seated. We started with spring rolls steamed and fried. Very good - the mustard is super spicy. We split 2 meals which they split in the kitchen for us. SUPER CONVENIENT since one was soup. The TVP w veggies had an amazing sauce. The Dan Dan noodles were spicy and flavorful - I love basil. Definitely will be back.

One night I was sick to my stomach, my husband was grumpy and hungry, we couldn’t decide on food bc I wanted nothing, and we decided to come here. The clear soup fixed me to 100% and my husband got all the noodles he could eat - win win! After that, we became regulars!

Classic Asheville Restaurant - Edit
The Noodle Shop is a classic Asheville restaurant. Their menu includes many vegan and vegetarian options and everything is labeled as such. This place has been in the same spot for many years and it is the real deal not some tourist trap. Fabulous local place to have a nice dinner on the patio, which may be the best people watching spot in town. Love their soups and noodle dishes.

Basil Eggplant FTW - Edit
This is my absolute favorite restaurant downtown. The menu is very clearly marked with vegan options, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the Basil Eggplant, TVP & Vegetable, Dan Dan Noodle, and the Mushu Wraps.

Soups were great! - Edit
I love a good noodle soup and this place has a few. The spring noodle and the dan dan were both awesome... although I think I liked the broth of the spring noodle slightly better. The service was great too.

One of my favorites. - Edit
As a local who knows a lot about the vegan options, this is one of my top choices for dining. I love their noodle bowls. My husband and I often get the Dan Dan. It's spicy, filling, and has a lot of vegetables and noodles (you can get rice instead) in it. We also often order spring rolls, which are good fried or steamed. I sometimes order one of their fried noodle dishes, but am more than happy with the "soup-like" options.
