Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with a vegetarian menu list labeling vegan appetizers, main courses and desserts. Finer dining setup. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-9:30pm.
i come here often. i love that there are so many vegan appetizers and entrees. you can also get the tandoori roti with no butter and it’s vegan. all staff is knowledgeable on what’s vegan. every appetizer i’ve tried was great, and my yellow dal is always delicious. the portions are good sizes and i usually have leftovers. definitely recommend.
Top-notch option for dining with omnivores! - Edit
Looking for a memorable dining experience with your non-vegan friends? The Nizam’s has got you covered. We’ve dined there several times and it never disappoints. Always delicious food, prompt & courteous service, reasonably priced! The menu clearly indicates the vegan options and asks that you mention this preference to your server, as they are very knowledgeable about ingredients. During this last visit, our server actually noticed I had inadvertently ordered a non-vegan dish after mentioning that I’m a vegan. She pointed it out and corrected the preparation, so very helpful! A delightful experience for vegans and omnivores alike.
The flavors are superb and the service is amazing. We have eaten here for years;
prior to their relocation and since. The quality is always the same. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I ordered the vegetable curry, spicy, and "vegan style," as the menu directed me to ask. It arrived red, greasy, and lacking flavor. The veggies were potato and mix peas/corn/carrot, likely from a frozen bag.
Amazing vegan options, super accommodating staff, very understanding of the vegan diet! Over the years they have improved so much with a larger location (triple the size!) and a clearly marked, separate vegan menu! I’ve never had a dish here that wasn’t amazing. Most non vegan items/dips/etc can be easily swapped out- just ask😄Must try in the area and great place for vegan or mixed vegan families to go out to eat.
They had a Vegan menu, which in my opinion is awesome. The servers knew what was vegan, and one even almost gave a non-vegan side sauce, but then took it back after asking, "oh, are you guys vegan?" unprompted😄I had the veggie curry, and the server was good with making sure my curry wasn't too spicy, and had a great energy! The place looked fancy too, which was what I was going for, so yeah~😁 Also, it's not that the address is wrong, but there are two "The Nizam's". I went to the one that's at the address '6725 E Black Horse Pike Egg Harbor'. It's close by, I think the address listed here is the one that branches off of the one that I went to though. So just letting you guys know~✌️
Vegan items are labeled right with the name of the item. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. All the vegan options are fried, which I don’t like but I’m glad I gave it a try because I think they mean to say it’s fried in a fry pan but it is not deep fried. I had the cauliflower which had an incredible sauce and an abundance of rice. I also got a rice pudding dessert but I didn’t like it at all- but I don’t fault them/ I just think it was not what I was expecting. The place is clean and unexpectedly, very cozy.
I enjoyed my visit here - staff were friendly and attentive. However, I ordered an appetizer platter marked as vegan, and it came with a dairy-yogurt dipping sauce (they had a tamarind sauce too, but I wasn't expecting any dairy for an item marked as vegan). I also noticed the palak aloo/palak paneer was marked as vegan, but the description included spinach cooked with butter and cream. So if you go, ask questions and don't make assumptions that the items marked vegan are actually vegan.
Wow! This place is amazing! Next week they are doing a vegan week where they bring a basket of veggies to your table, you pick what you want and they cook you a surprise!!! He didn't have a vegan dessert on the menu but said he would make me one. This place would get all the stars if that were possible.
We went here for lunch, I love that they have all of their vegan items clearly marked on the menu- and they advertise being vegan friendly on their billboard! From perusing the menu it seems that all of their savory vegetarian items that don't include paneer are vegan. No need to worry about whether something has ghee or not. We ordered everything at the normal spice levels and enjoyed it, but they'll go hotter if you ask.
Glad to see south Jersey is wising up and getting plant-powered!

The taste and flavors are just amazing, everything tasted fresh and authentic. Got the lunch trays, plenty of food and had enough for another meal.
