Used to be so much better!

The Nest used to be amazing with 100% vegan menu with amazing vegan sandwiches (which is such a treat as a vegan!) and donuts.
They’ve changed the donuts now and they’re not as good, seems like they’re bought in from a mass producer now, they’re not all vegan and most of the other stuff on the menu isn’t vegan either.
Was so excited to come back here whilst home for Christmas and was disappointed:(

Pros: Some vegan options , Good coffee

Cons: Not clear that things are no longer vegan, Donuts have gone downhill

Used to be amazing :(

Their new doughnuts are no longer all vegan and taste mass-produced and uninteresting compared to their old ones. Such a shame as used to go here all the time and now we don’t bother. Please bring back the old doughnuts!

Old review:
The doughnuts are wonderful, but I am borderline obsessed with the cinnamon buns. Milkshakes are good too!

New donuts are incredibly disappointing

Despite their website still stating their donuts are 100% vegan, they aren’t, so be careful.

New donuts are not a patch on the old ones, taste mass produced and incredibly disappointing. Just a regular cafe now, nothing special. Real shame. Might as well just go to Krispy Kreme…

Hopefully they go back to their old doughnuts but it would be hard to trust this business again.

Highly recommend Cafe Thrive instead

Pros: Still some vegan options

Cons: Added non-vegan items to the menu, Donuts , Misinformation on website

Amazing!!

I'm in love with their doughnuts; everything is fully vegan too which means I have a harder time choosing which flavour to try ❤️

Edit:
Their new collaboration with Project Doughnut isn't as good - it tastes mass produced & isn't fully vegan anymore. Hoping that this collab is temporary as The Nest had way better homemade doughnuts than them.

Be warned donuts aren't all vegan anymore

Really disappointed that Nest has brought in non vegan donuts. Their food used to be all vegan, so be careful here. They also sell cows' milk.

We will be back!

Tonnes of sweet treats

This was my first visit since they have revamped the store. There is now a much bigger seating area, although it was absolutely packed on a Sunday morning. On this visit there was a huge range of doughnuts (they change the flavours every month) as well as a selection of other sweet treats. I did once pop in on a Sunday afternoon to find they had sold out of everything. They used to sell savoury bites too but there were none there this time, so this is very much a coffee house for a snack not a cafe where you can have lunch. Be warned that while the food is vegan the drinks are not - make sure you specify what milk you want because we forgot this time - the staff member asked if we wanted 'normal' milk. Glad they ask but it felt really weird to call dairy milk normal in a mostly vegan place. NB they can do doughnuts in the shape of letters for special events, though at £3 a letter it can get pricey very quickly.

Pros: Large range of flavours

Cons: Use dairy milk in drinks

Seems good lunch stop

I popped in an hour or so before closing for a coffee and, understandably, they didn't have much food left. All of their food is vegan but I was told they don't advertise it as such as it can put people off. I get it, but it's a shame. They had a fresh sandwiches list at the counter marked vegan, and a good selection of hot and cold drinks. I got a special latte - pumpkin spiced, and some doughnut holes (4 for £1).

Everything tastes sensational ❤️

I couldn’t believe this place was all vegan until the guy explained it to me. They don’t advertise it much so that non-vegans are not turned away.

I had the breakfast bap, ginger bread latte and the best vegan cinnamon swirl I have tasted.

Friendly staff, welcoming and fast service ❤️
