My favorite coffee shop - Edit
I love going to The Moth. Good food and good vibes. I love the vegan mac and cheese. Most of the baked goodies behind the counter are also usually vegan, just ask and they'll tell you which ones.

Delicious vegan cakes and pastries - Edit
Excellent selection of vegan baked goods. Delicious fudge, icing, flavorful rich cake. The meals and drinks are really nice too. Beautiful location in a restored historic mill next to a stream and pond.

Great cafe and an ancient building - Edit
I absolutely love this place. If you drive down main street in Allentown, you can't miss the old brick mill that this cafe hides in. The road actually bends around it, in fact.
Read moreHighly recommend their beet burger as it's one of the best burgers I've ever had. My second favorite dish is the chickpea melt. If you miss tuna salad or chicken salad as a vegetariann, this will hit the spot. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I got from this place.
If you like old buildings (which I do) , there are plenty of ancient wood beams to stare at! A really cozy environment. I only wish they were open later on weekdays!

They make their own proteins - Edit
I love that this place makes their own chickun, sausage, and egg proteins. It's rare to find a place that doesn't just use Beyond, Impossible, Gardein, or JUST products. All the desserts are great, most are vegan. Highly recommend eating here!!

Bike Ride and Picnic - Edit
10/10 options for lunch or breakfast to pair with a coffee or tea of choice with nut milk or nut creamer options. Top it off with a vegan desert too! Can dine in again or eat outside. We sometimes take it to go and have a picnic in the heritage park and go for a bike ride after. Beautiful spot with clothing and antique shops nearby too!

All vegetarian with many really great vegan options. Everything is clearly marked, and lots of the pastries are vegan as well. Great place to hang out or grab and go. Owners are wonderful people.

BUT WORTH IT! The beet burger was crazy good and so were the chickpea sliders. Gotta say, whatever magic they were putting in their food, it was worth the wait.

Favorite spot!!!!!! - Edit
Literally my favorite place of all time! Their vegan Mac and cheese is to die for. Wish they sold the cheese in jars. Their grilled cheese with mustard is beyond amazing. I travel over an hour to come here. My best friend and I are obsessed. Oh and try their lavender lemonade. 🙌 if I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!

Was impressed with this vegetarian cafe. Good food and beverage options. They could improve on their gluten free and dairy free milk options (I went a year ago so this may have changed)

Coffeehouse/light lunch - Edit
Found this place just searching for coffee shops. Drove 40 minutes to venture out for the day. Stopped in and they have lavender syrup which is one of my favorites. We decided to try the Mac and Cheese as well as the sausage sandwich. The Mac and cheese was absolutely amazing , and it is a small portion but the price is average and it comes with a side salad as well. The environment is cute and the location is great, (free parking). Definitely recommend.

One of our favorites - Edit
Delicious vegan entrees and some of the best vegan desserts around. Their mac & cheese is my wife's favorite, and I like it too despite not being a fan of the dish in general. I'm partial to the beet burger, and like the sausage sandwich as well. We always buy some desserts to go, as they're hard to beat anywhere. As of this post, all prices are below $10.
Read moreDefinitely disagree with a couple previous, somewhat negative posts! We, and many NJveg members, wouldn't frequent The Moth if we didn't enjoy it. It can get crowded on Saturdays, parking can be an issue, and the bathroom is not the most accessible, but those concerns are far outweighed by everything else.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly, Historic building
Cons: Not all vegan, Limited hours

Desserts - Edit
Although the desserts and drinks at this coffee house are very good, the actual meals lack good taste. The vegan Mac and cheese tasted like it was covered in salad dressing, and the beet burger was awful. Not to mention you have to walk down two flights of stairs and down a hallway that smelled as if it had been blasted in horrible smelling perfume to get to the bathroom.

Good for vegan patisserie and coffee but vegan entrees are lacking - Edit
Very casual coffee-house in very old building with scary stairway to bathroom has delicious vegan baked goods and coffee but I wouldn't plan on coming here for lunch again or with kids (unless they are gourmand types and you don't mind paying $$$ for three times what a kid can eat).

Favorite coffee around - Edit
I disagree with the price rating assigned to this venue. I would more likely place it on $$ because everything is expensive. That said, everything is fresh and delicious. I don't feel like I wasted my cash when I go here. Friendly staff. When busy, some staff get frazzled and the cashier can appear impatient BUT they shouldn't stress. This place is great and worth the wait!
