We always book a table here when on holiday, they also have a sister pub with a similar menu, the Red Lion at Blackwater. A vegan roast is available on Sundays, and there are always a number of vegan options, including delicious deserts. Thoroughly recommend.

They have a separate vegan menu with quality vegan options, including many vegan dessert options which i always enjoy! I had the sweet potato curry which was very spicy but enjoyable all the same, and a sticky toffee pudding, which was very nice, the pudding was also gluten free but not dry at all.

Lovely pub for a meal, good variety of vegan options including typical pub food. We got the curry which was very spicy but delicious nonetheless!

They have a different vegan menu which is great, but I feel like having a moving mountains/beyond meat burger is a common pub staple that they are lacking.
Read moreI asked what the soup of the day was on the vegan menu and was told broccoli and stilton (obvs not vegan) and when I queried it they checked with the chef and then came back and said they actually didn’t have a vegan soup available.
I had the falafel burger as the soup wasn’t an option which was okay but really spicy.
Several vegan dessert options which is a plus.
Pros: Vegan desserts, Separate vegan menu, Dog friendly
Cons: No vegan soup of the day

One of The Best Sunday Lunches Ever - Edit
We visited here for a vegan Sunday lunch - amazing restaurant with very friendly service, a lovely atmosphere and a superb nut roast with plenty of vegetables and extra gravy without asking. There was a whole vegan menu with a choice of 5 vegan deserts so we were spoilt for choice. What a change from a few years ago!! We will definitely go again when we are next in Cornwall. On the daily menu there was even a vegan ploughman’s with cheeses. Prices are reasonable too. Thoroughly recommended.

Detailed vegan and gluten free menu is available upon request. Nice choice and selection of dishes for a vegan. Really good quality food and reasonable portion sizes.

This pub has a separate vegan menu with starters, mains and desserts. The falafel is clearly homemade. The food js lovingly arranged, with the chocolate praline I was offered two kinds of vegan ice cream oder custard, so there's lots of choices. The staff is super-friendly. The beergarde is nice. Will definitely go there again!

Read moreLovely local pub with extremely friendly staff. The menu has something for everyone and is reasonably priced. There is a large car park, bus stops nearby and lots of footpaths. No reason at all not to visit 👍🏻
