1st visit amazing - 2nd not so much!!! - Edit
Really enjoyed our meals, plenty of vegan options, the salad alone was lovely, could have easily just had a bowl of that! Definitely going back again soon, super friendly staff.
Read moreEdit: Went back for breakfast with the little and had a totally bizarre experience!! We asked what the vegan options were for our breakfast, firstly the person behind the counter said she didn’t know. So we had to wait for the cook to come back from buying eggs from the shop. In the meantime we got our daughter some jam on toast (but couldn’t have butter as it wasn’t vegan). When the cook came back she and the waiter sat out in the restaurant to have their breakfast?!?!!! We felt rude interrupting them and so waited for them to finish their meal before having to get up again (also to add currently 7 months pregnant 🙈) to go to the counter and ask what we can order. Our choices were to take off the egg, veggie sausages, and Veggie black pudding which left us with a mushroom, half a tomato and beans (and I don’t like beans 😂) and dry toast. Or we could have the tamarind dish but last time we had it the samosas were a little too spicy for me. Coffee is really bad tasting and expensive not sure why but just didn’t taste right. So gutted! We will give it another go and maybe not on a day where they just serve an “English breakfast”:

Vegan options but apparently not.
Mainly think the guy we met the first time was super helpful in telling us all our options and telling us we could have had a mix of different things.. hope to meet him again.

Pros: Food portion size , Price , Salad!
Cons: Waiting for the staff to finish their meal?!?!!!! , More cake options please ! Not just chocolate , Coffee wasn’t very nice but otherwise nice place

Excellent Cafe - Edit
I stumbled upon this place on my travels and thought I'd give it a go. The staff are very friendly. They explained all food is grown on site and is fresh, which it did taste so.

Quick Lunch - Edit
I was visiting Coventry on business, and this place popped up. I had the meal of the day which was a bean burger minus the cheese (see picture). It was at my table in around 5 minutes, I could not believe how big the portion was for the small price, and it tasted so good I was genuinely disappointed when I finished! Next time I’m down this way, I would have no hesitation in returning. Fantastic in every way.

Read moreFound this place today through Happy Cow. The food was great and the staff were so friendly.
It's a charity run business, they reduce the price of meals for the unemployed and offer free kids meals. So couldn't be run by nicer people. When we asked if we could pay by card, they said "no, but have your food first and then you come back and pay later" ? this shocked us a lot. The amount of care shown to us was amazing.
They have a wide range of sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes etc. Plus a "meal of the day" which obviously changes daily and was really really good.
Definitely recommend for kind hearted veggies everywhere!
