Pleasant dinner in Speyside, where the pickings are slim.

Had a nice dinner and whisky flight at The Mash Tun with a party of 3 vegetarians and 2 vegans. The food was fine and the cozy, colorful atmosphere was very pleasant. There is some outdoor seating. If traveling with kids, don’t miss the playground with “epic slide” just towards the river from the restaurant and, further upriver, the pedestrian bridge.
We found it somewhat hard to find vegan dinner restaurants in this part of the Cairngorms and were grateful for a pleasant veg and vegan family meal while also getting a taste of the area’s whisky culture.
