Grateful for a vegan option in Greenport - Edit

strong vegan options are few and far between on the eastern end of the North Fork, unfortunately. The Market has a great selection of health food groceries and speciality items. They also have a cafe, which due to Covid wasn’t bustling as I’m sure it normally would be when I went. I got a tofu salad wrap which was fine but freezing cold (it was pre-made) and quite expensive. The place didn’t feel overly welcoming to me, but that might’ve been because it was empty due to the pandemic. Either way, I am grateful to them for offering vegan options in Greenport and will go back I’m sure.

Pros: One of the only options in the area, Wide selection of vegan grocery items , A few cafe items

Pretty ho-hum - Edit

2 or 3 vegan options, needed to request substitutions. Subbed Daiya on the Reuben for me, came mostly un-melted. Tempeh was cold. Overall not that impressed, but what option to you have?

Pros: One of a few vegan options, Attached to a store with other vgn goods.

Cons: Not really worth the money.

Good veg/vegan friendly spot - Edit

I had breakfast here recently (oatmeal with almond milk and dried fruit). It is a 'health food' store with an active cafe inside. There are a few vegan options (the person taking my order had never even heard of tofu scramble), but in Greenport vegans must be flexible and resourceful. The quality of the food was quite good, and the staff were competent and mellowly friendly.

Pros: Located in downtown Greenport, Vegan options, Groceries on site
