Serves meat, vegan options available. The Mark is a mostly-vegan Italian restaurant serving Pizza Romana, al Taglio a traditional Roman style of pizza. There is an extensive full bar that serves fun cocktails, mocktails, local beer and Italian wine. A restaurant that for two decades has celebrated the balance of health and decadence. Whenever possible local organic ingredients are used. Service is casual Italian forno style you order at the bar, and the business is all cash. Open Thu-Sat 5:30am-11:00pm. Closed Sun-Wed. Available for private events 7 days a week.

Excellent atmosphere, delish pizza, beautiful cocktails - Edit
The Mark always has a couple of super delicious vegan Roman-style pizzas on their menu, unlike the pizza you'll get anywhere else in the area, plus some tasty salad options. The atmosphere is excellent, casual but romantic, with a beautiful shady patio for the summer, and a nicely-stocked bar. I always nonchalantly ask Lisa, the owner, to make me a spritz, no further specifications, and she always delivers me something amazing. Plus where else are you going to get pizza prepared by a genuine Sicilian with decades of authentic Italian cooking experience under his belt?? The Mark is truly a hidden gem in little ol' Olympia.

Pleasantly surprised! Great atmosphere - Edit
My husband and I are both vegan and were pleasantly surprised by the vegan options at The Mark. The pizza arrabbiata was our favorite. The vibe here is really nice - feels like you are hanging out in the living room of one of your friends, music just the right level for conversation, and comfortable seating. The cocktail menu is great and we tried several different drinks - all tasty and balanaced. We will definitely come back here, and look forward to enjoying the patio during the spring and summer!

Casual dining, beautiful patio, vegan options - Edit
The Mark used to be a fine-dining restaurant before COVID; now it's a more casual cafe-style Italian pizza place while still maintaining the ambience of a fine-dining restaurant. There were several vegan pizza options (including vegan cheese!), and a few other vegan options, like a cold pasta salad, an arugula salad, and sautéed spinach. They're open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 5:30-11pm. The back patio is so pretty, very romantic, but with a casual cafe vibe. We chatted with the owner for a bit, who was lovely. I was happy to find a vegan friendly option late at night on a weekend, and the atmosphere just made the experience top notch.

Another nice find - Edit
Some tasty choices for vegans. Had a pasta dish that was pretty spicy. I was with 1 other vegan and she was happy and 2 meat eaters and both were good. Very friendly wait staff and owner was here too explaining food dishes.

Great food, not a lot of vegan options - Edit
The Mark is a fine-dining "slow food" establishment that serves Italian fare. You'll want to make reservations, especially for dinner. Several years back I heard a presentation from the owner, and at that time The Mark was one of the few restaurants in the United States using 100% organic ingredients, including oils and spices. The food is delicious, with seasonal ingredients, but the menu usually only has one vegan option available. I think they are willing to improvise or adapt other dishes if asked. The service is always friendly, but their philosophy is very "localvore." I asked for the cheese to be left off my pasta and the server said, "oh, but it's local cheese!," and I said, "I still need it left off." Despite this, it is definitely still worth the trip!
