Great vegan options - Edit
I found that when I do go to the Manx, they have at least 4-5 vegan options to choose from! I have gotten the tofu sandwich, tofu tacos, and their vegan noodle dish before and they have all been delicious! Their prices are very reasonable as well. Really friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and can make certain substitutions for other menu items.

Small menu, limited but good vegan options - Edit
This is a hip little underground pub with some outdoor seating and a surprisingly upscale menu. I went for lunch and there weren’t a lot of options, but I did get a smoked tofu sandwich with vegan aioli on some truly excellent bread with a salad and potato wedges for $18.

Deemed the hub of the art scene, I expected to see a lot more examples of actual art work.
Read moreWent here with Omnis, who seemed quite pleased with the selection, though not keen having to see pork consumption.
Unfortunately, this place is crazy busy, and the kitchen just doesn’t have the capacity to keep up. This could be forgiven if one had a nice bottomless cup of coffee to nurse, but not the case. The coffee was sooo strong, found it undrinkable. Apparently I got the last of the non dairy milk, a mini sized portion. Didn’t help. Would like to see non-dairy creamers and at least 2 non-dairy milks, in stock.
The food, when it finally was delivered by the appologetic waitresss an hour later, was undoubtedly good. My breakfast sandwich came with no sides, which left me pilfering potatoes from my husband. Overall the food was good, though by that time our stomachs were growling. This place needs to tighten stuff up and it will be amazing.
Pros: In house baked bread, Uber yummy!, Something for everyone in the family , Friendly staff
Cons: Exceptionally long wait , Crowded basement a bit claustrophobic, Need better coffee & non-dairy creamer

Lovely vegan meal - Edit
Great pub - cosy and warm. Friendly staff and a great beer menu! Although it is a pub, the food is high end and delicious. They had lots of options for my omni bf and several great vegan options for me. I had the salt and pepper tofu, guacamole and tomato wrap with salad and potato wedges. I asked them to hold the mayo and the server asked if I would prefer vegan mayo (which I did!) It was great that the staff were so up to speed on all their vegan options! One of the tastiest meals I've had recently.

Great food - Edit
A regular spot for me, they do a fantastic veggie burger. It's falafel inspired, but I wouldn't call it a falafel burger. It's served on naan bread, but you can get it on a kaiser instead.
Read moreThey also do really great spring rolls (the sauce that comes with them is really good). Other veg/vegan things they do-tofu tacos, there's a lamb wrap that you can sub tofu in for, and a hummus plate-possibly one or two other things!
The Manx is a pub, but the food is definitely restaurant quality. It's fairly small, so you might have to wait depending on when you go. They normally have music/poetry readings/other events going on Sunday and Monday evenings. If you're a beer drinker, they have an excellent selection of beers. They also specialize in whiskeys.
Pros: great staff, great food
