Amazing tapas

This place blew me away, so much so I’ve been back twice in a few weeks. They have awesome tapas dishes like seitan lamb flatbreads and king oyster mushroom calamari that have clearly been carefully thought out. The atmosphere is cosy and warm and it’s dog friendly.

Pros: Great range of vegan options, Lovely atmosphere, Dog friendly

Best vegan menu on North Street

The Malago has become one of my regular spots, thanks to its tasty vegan options, friendly staff and dogs-welcome policy.

For brunch both the vegan English breakfast and the bagel are delicious - I highly recommend the bagel if you’d like something different. Typically not a big fan of jackfruit but the Malago seasons it well and don’t serve it watery like some other places.

For dinner vegan tapas are a favourite. At £6.95 per small plate they are on a pricey side - you do need 3 to get full in my opinion. If cost is a concern Tuesday is a good day to go as they offer 3 for 2 on vegan tapas. The oyster mushroom ‘calamari’, falafel and the pea dip are all super tasty 🤤

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Tasty food that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, Friendly atmosphere

Cons: Tapas can be expensive , Only one main vegan dish (seitan burger)
