Amazing Vegan Meals! The best Indian I've had! - Edit
By far the best Indian I've ever had! Full of flavor and well prepared. Fernandez took excellent care of us. He was attentive and offered great suggestions for us being vagan. Every table was full and I understand why. The food was delicious. We had the Sambar and Rasam soups, plus Assorted Appetizers to start. For meals, we enjoyed the Kadai Paneer, which was rich and savory. The Palak Paneer was also delicious. I would absolutely recommend Madras Cafe and will return on our next visit to Orlando. Bonus for offering vegan options! Great meal. Great restaurant.

I love this pace, the Gobi Manchurian is amazing, the Aloo Gobi is amazing, the Chana Masala is amazing. I love the Dosa, I love the Naan. Sometimes I just sit back and think about how good this food is.

Tried their chickpea curry, a personal favorite and it was delicious! The bread was fresh and warm. Service was fast and the food took no time at all. Would revisit!

Vegan food everywhere! - Edit
Fantastic restaurant with a huge variety of vegan food. Staff were lovely and menu was extensive with most dishes able to be vegan. Hot and sour soup was phenomenal! Will be back.
Read moreWent back 3 days later for buffet lunch $17 and was amazing. Loads of small tapas dishes brought to you with 2 rice and breads. Great selection and more bread brought out when needed. Tell them your vegan and it’s all made fresh. Huge tray and food was amazing!

FANTASTIC!!!! - Edit
Everything we had was delicious. Reagan was our server and he tended to us very well. There were a plethora of options. Everything we ordered was vegan. We ordered Vegetable Samosas, Garlic Naan, Mysore Masala Dosai, Malai Kofta and Vegetable Korma. The flavors were deeply delicious. We particularly loved the Malai Kofta. The Korma has a subtle, mild flavor. The Masala Dosai with chutney was fabulous. This review may sound over the top but it is seriously that good. The atmosphere is really pleasant. Across the board, a 5-star experience!

Overrated - Ruined Vegan Meal - Long Wait - Edit
Online ordering wouldn't allow us to order, we called, on hold for 15 minutes, so we drove there and ordered in person. Told it would be 45-60minutes, I was ok with that. I tipped $5 on my to go order in advance. We went to Barnes and Noble to kill some time. I came back and waited at the bar for my order. And waited, and waited. People who were dining in who were just being seated when I ordered were already leaving. I asked how much longer for my food. One person said "not much longer" but never went in the kitchen to check. Another person asked me what I was waiting for, he went and told the first guy and came back and told me the same thing. Again, no one checked in the kitchen. After more waiting the first guy goes in the kitchen and comes back with my food over 1.5 hours after I ordered it! Said they were busy, but come back tomorrow and it will be better. No utensils in bag. We decide to all have a piece of naan before leaving, it's all cold!!!!!!! My food must have been sitting there the entire time. When we get back to our hotel room they barely gave us enough rice for my 2 kids let alone for the 4 meals I ordered. The food was eh.... And wait for it.... The meal that was supposed to be TOFU had CHEESE in it!!!!!! Not Vegan as ordered.

Pros: Vegan options are labeled - supposedly, It is at least a vegetarian place, No meat
Cons: Expensive , LONG WAITS, more than double what they tell you, Put cheese in a vegan meal

They served me paneer when I ordered tofu - Edit
I ordered a tofu curry and they gave me a paneer curry. I was really disappointed in this place because the menu and the reviews were amazing. I also ordered the pakora and it was not good. It was undercooked and not crispy.

Pure Veg Indian Restaurant - Edit
We showed up and there was a large crowd outside, so it was a good sign ! Beware on maps it says Vegan but it is a vegetarian restaurant. Just be sure to tell the server to prepare all items vegan. We ordered the garlic Naan, tofu Manchurian, and tofu chili. They say dry but it just means it's not as gravy like as a dal or curry. I would say the best was the tofu Manchurian. The garlic Naan made us feel very bloated but it was good. I'd go back!

This place is fabulous! All food is vegetarian / vegan. The ambiance is very charming, the staff (Sam and Mickey) were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was so good! We even ordered more to-go so we could have it again later. If you’re in the area, try this place!

Quality food but a couple of issues - Edit
We had some great food but the portion vs cost was way off. Also, i ordered online and they were supposed to text when it was ready. I never got a text so I went in and it must have been sitting on the bar for a while because everything was cold. I was surprised at how small the portions were. 1 order of naan for $5.50 was two tiny/mini naans. Same with samosas…$7 for three tiny ones that added together might make up one regular sized one. $14 Chana masala was a cup of rice and two cups of beans/sauce. Definitely not a value for what you get but at least it’s all vegetarian and tasted good. I’m still hungry! Any other Indian restaurant I would have had food leftover for lunch the next day and paid quite a bit less.

Yummy ! - Edit
As of 12/20/2021 they are not doing table side buffet until the new year, and the Thalis are only available for dinner. However, this vegetarian Indian restaurant has so many delicious choices and most are vegan. We got the aloo Gobi, dal, and masala Dosa with garlic naan. The dal was more soup-like than I'd prefer, but the flavors in everything were amazing.

Best Indian I’ve had in 5 years! - Edit
The last time I had decent Indian food was 2 years before I went vegan. We stopped at Madras Cafe late last night as a last minute option and we are beyond grateful that we did! The service was impeccable and the food was mouthwateringly delicious. Incredibly sad to not live anywhere near Orlando or this would be our regular go to date night spot! MAKE SURE TO SPECIFY NUT ALLERGIES
Read moreA few of the dishes we ordered contained tree nuts and we did not specify the allergy before ordering, after the food was brought to our table it was difficult for our server to determine which contained nuts and which didn’t.
Pros: Huge menu, Almost everything can be made vegan , Garlic/onion free options
