Two vegan options - Edit
I had the warm quinoa and grain bowl which was quite good. My husband had the black bean burger which he said was just ok.

2 vegan options, mediocre food - Edit
I had the warm trail bowl and it was pretty disappointing. The bowl was dry, I wish there was a second sauce to it. Portions are quite big, but overall nothing special.

Two options for vegans - Edit
Currently the lodge offers for lunch: a quinoa/black bean grain bowl. For dinner that grain bowl or a black bean burger. I had the bean burger it was really mediocre. Glad the menu is clearly labeled! Better than other parks, but it’s catered by Aramark so the food just isn’t going to be that great.

Most salads can be veganized. Tofu bowl was small but tasty. Impossible burger. Sides are sautéed in butter.

Actually not that bad for the park lodge - Edit
I’ve eaten in a bunch of park lodges and this was one of the better meals. They have a couple of vegan options, a beyond burger and a veg plate. It was ok, even good, bc I wasn’t expecting much at all. We were staying in the lodge so it was convenient and totally fine! So vegans staying at the lodge, you won’t starve.😄

Far from anything special - Edit
We were happy that they had vegan options but both vegan bowl and burger were super boring but at least the portion sizes and prices were good.

Scrumptious dinner - Edit
We stayed at the Lodge at Bryce Canyon for one night and despite previous reviews, decided to eat dinner there after reviewing the menu. It was a relaxed environment and service was great (Ed has a great sense of humor!) My husband had a mixed green salad to start which he said was delicious. We both ordered the Tofu Teriyaki Bowls and were blown away by the volume of vegetables, flavors and freshness of this entree. Every component of the large bowl was cooked perfectly from the rice to the numerous veggies to the tofu. Highly recommend!

No vegan dinner options - Edit
This review has nothing to do with the nice people who work here. They were excellent and hustling. I am writing to express my disappointment for the planning that goes behind the food. They only had a buffet for dinner, $36 adults, $18 for kids.
Read moreDinner buffet vegan options were:
Rice (might be cooked with chicken broth, didn’t ask)
Rolls
Potatoes
Asparagus
Celery
Tomatoes
Carrots
Cucumbers
Sunflower seeds
I don’t believe this was worth $36!!!
The salads looked ok but had cheese mixed in. One was feta cheese, mandarin oranges and walnuts. The other was Parmesan cheese and lettuce.
It was a cool dining room. Made me wonder about the history of the people who may have eaten here. I suspect they had better food back in the day. My husband thought the meat reminded him of a high school cafeteria.
Pros: Walking distance to canyon, Historical dining room, Convenient
Cons: No vegan options (cheese in salads), Hardly vegetarian , Insanely expensive!!!

Good vegan options here - Edit
We were staying here and had lunch. It’s only buffet. They are short handed. We talked to waitress and she said they used to have 30 people front house and 30 back house. Now only 6 back 6 front. Hence the buffet. Crazy times.
Read moreWe had the black bean burger and it was good. Then the all you want buffet. Be sure to use a clean plate.
Salad, beets, garbanzo beans, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, and some other goodies. Fresh sliced fruit too.
Lunch was 18 per person and added tax and tip. I believe dinner is 34.
Not sure about breakfast.

Delicious vegan GF pasta - Edit
We enjoyed our meal here! They have a vegetarian section of the menu with 3 options, and all can be made vegan just by removing the cheese. I had the GF pasta with no cheese. Huge portion with homemade marinara and sautéed spinach, summer squash, onions, cherry tomatoes and sundried tomatoes. They had an option to add vegetarian meatballs for an additional $4 which i didn’t do. The prices are a little steep (pasta dish was $17) but portions are huge and food is delicious and high quality. They do not have any butter, just olive oil, so i was able to have delicious complimentary warm bread with herbed olive oil. Service wasn’t amazing, they seemed understaffed but server was kind enough.

Good but expensive - Edit
Was about to look further since the prices were just too high for my budget, but the pizzeria was closed and my friend was hungry as well, so decided to give it a go. We shared the sunset spinach salad and vernal noodle bowl. The lovely lady who helped us checked if the broth was vegan since you never know for sure and was very helpful! Both dishes were fresh and tasteful, but $7 for a small salad and $18 for a simple noodle bowl are just too expensive in my opinion.

Limited options. - Edit
Can replace meaty things with Gardein, but for most items will just make it vegetarian. Service is usually good, just not too much for them to work with. Will update again when they open for the summer.

Impossible Burger & Salad - Edit
We stopped at the Lodge while visiting Bryce Canyon. We ordered the Impossible Burger with fries and also the Asian salad. The burger was delicious - definitely get a side of guac to put on top of the burger. The salad wasn't the best but it also was not horrible either. Our waitress was vegetarian.

No vegan options and not tasty at all - Edit
Since 2017 their menu changed and it no longer has vegan options, only vegetarian. We had the pasta with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes without cheese, and it was not tasty at all. The place is nothing special. After a long day of hiking, we had to wait 40' (originally they said it was going to be 1hr) because even though there were tables available, the cook had a long waiting list... The olive oil they served was transparent (it has to be green) and disgusting. On top of that, the paprika oil I think it was based with the same oil and it was horrible. I don't like writing bad reviews, but wanted to warn those who might have high expectations of this place. Go to Ruby's instead (inside Best Western hotel). They have veggie burgers and my husband had a veggie wrap made for him... otherwise there are not many veg restaurants or veg friendly so bring many vegan energy bars (oh! If you are planning a trip there... The Bryce Trails B&B was great in every sense.. we asked for a vegan breakfast and Crystal did two amazing VEGAN breakfasts ... the B&B was very nice too... ). Bryce is TOTALLY worth the effort... so don't stop from going!

Great find - Edit
As this was the only place to eat in Bryce Canyon, I didn't have many expectations. However!! We ended up very satisfied. We went there for dinner. The Gardein chicken was so amazing (it was the first time we tried it) that I seriously doubted if it was real or not. We had a vegan meal with grilled veggies etc., very filling and tasty. I wanted to try the quinoa bowl but I was told it was made with milk. However, I think the waiter might have been confused because it barely had any sauce ( my mother ordered it ), and it didn't look or smell like it had anything to do with milk.

NOT TEMPEH BACON - Edit
The description for the VLT says "tempeh bacon," but it's definitely morning star farms bacon, which contains egg. NOT VEGAN! Makes m wonder if the other "vegan" options are actually vegan.

Surprising Find! - Edit
Stumbled upon The Lodge after a long morning of walking. They had several vegan options such as a burger, veggie wrap, salad and VLT sandwich, and also to replace chicken with Gardein chickn. I opted for the veggie bacon (VLT) sandwich, without aioli, with a side salad. It was delicious! Staff were lovely and attentive. Excellent find!

Better than expected - Edit
I'm guessing they have made improvements to their veg options. I ordered a veg blt with vegan tempeh bacon. Unfortunately the aioli is not vegan but the server suggested hummus on my "VLT" instead and that was a great substitution. My husband got a marinated portobello burger (can be made vegan with no cheese) and he enjoyed that too. They also have great beer! I was overall very happy with the server's knowledge of vegan food, his happiness to accommodate, and the food.

Disappointing - Edit
The menu looked good. 3 different vegetarian options. I ordered the quinoa & my boyfriend ordered the pasta. I got a bowl of brown mush. Very little veggies, very unappealing. The pasta was okay but not much better.

Very Ordinary - Edit
From my experience, there is not much positive to report about The Lodge at Bryce Canyon as far as a dining experience for vegans. The food (vegan burger & veggie wrap minus aioli) was edible but fairly bland and the staff (including a supervisor/manager) had little concept of what vegan food is (despite having a vegan burger on the menu!).

Vegan dining options in Bryce Canyon - Edit
This is the only dining option inside the park. It's a nice, moderate to expensive restaurant with several vegan options. They have Gardein "chicken" that can be substituted in any dish with chicken. Their menu mentions that they can accommodate special dietary restrictions. Both servers we had were knowledgable about what was vegan. Several dishes, such as salads, can be made vegan by leaving off the cheese. I had the quinoa primavera and the whole wheat penne pomodoro with fake chicken. Both were good, and better than I was expecting for a place in such a rural area. They also had a nice selection of beer and wine, including some local ones. Servers were prompt and professional. While this isn't somewhere I'd seek out in a city with many vegan options, for what it was it was pretty good and we were pleasantly surprised.
