Great food with a view!

I’ve eaten here the last two times I’ve visited New Quay, my friend and I both had the chickpea curry and chips! Vegan and gluten free, outdoor seating and you’re right by the sea.

Pros: Vegan options, Gluten free chips , Fresh sea air, great location

One vegan and one veggie option

The staff confirmed the vegan and veggie options are cooked separately. No meat or fish cross contamination for chips, which is a rare find for a seaside chippy and shows great awareness.
A range of sides that are veggie / vegan too.
Huge amount of beverage choices, well presented, and is very clean. Portions are massive so whilst some people have said it is expensive, you’re getting value for money.

£9 for chickpea curry and chips

In a restaurant, most people would be happy to pay that.

Oh no not another chickpea curry!

You’re probably thinking it but the curry was really nice, especially with chips on a cold and blowy day.

Perfect chippy lunch by the sea

This is a great little place. It only does one vegan option but they do it very well. The curry is fragrant, mild and packed with chick peas and the chips are spot on - not greasy.

So glad I found this

Vegan option - Goan chickpea curry - wow, it is a quality, delicious curry, thoughtfully finished with fresh coriander on top, and goes really well with the (excellent) chips.

1 vegan option & chips

See side fish & chips shop with chips cooked in rapeseed oil and not animal fat.
Besides the chips there is 1 vegan option on the menu, chickpea curry.
We went for the chips and they are decent quantity for the price.

Pros: Chips are cooked in rapeseed oil, 1 other vegan option on the menu, The restaurant is trying to be plastic free

Cons: 1 vegan option only, Tomato sauce costs extra
