Loving the Lunch at The Lamb

A really good choice to make, thanks to a previous posting on Happy Cow. This is a fantastically historical hotel, with history going back to the 1400s. A particularly attentive GM offered to lock our bikes up safely and securely in an outhouse and gave us a precis of the building’s history. We felt it rude not to order most of the plant-based items on the menu and valiantly struggled on through. Each dish brought much culinary appreciation from us, accompanied by sighs of said appreciation. The menu offered a small choice of plant-based options but goodness, we proved that any choice is the right choice! Thank you to the staff at The Lamb Inn. You really enhanced our visit to your beautiful town of Burford.

Great

We stayed here and told the hotel we were vegan. Although there aren’t masses of options we were really impressed with the effort made to cater for us-which included complimentary booja booja chocolates in the room and a full vegan menu for breakfast with three options (including vegan bacon, vegan egg & vegan sausage).
The hotel really went the extra mile and it was great to find such friendly and helpful staff (given that burford isn’t awash with vegan options).
Sure if you call ahead you’ll be very well catered for.

Pros: Very friendly , Go the extra mile, Good vegan options

Cons: Hunting prints on the wall-not cool
