Yummy vegan options, but limited choices

There is a separate menu that lists Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten-free items. The vast majority of the items are Gluten-free. For vegans, there are 2 options for an appetizer and 1 main course. The lettuce wraps (appetizer) was awesome! Super flavorful. The main course, which is the daily vegetables with red rice was very good (same veggies/seasoning as the lettuce wraps). Elegant restaurant in the midst of a beautiful, historic district. Excellent choice for a business dinner.

Great!

Staff is knowledgable, good is amazing. The staff are from Culinard of Virginia College. I had stuffed zucchini boats and beet salad. Both were fantastic.

Pros: Great food

Cons: Loud/noisy rooms

Fresh, sustainable, YUMMY

The Kitchen on George is a great neighborhood restaurant nestled among historic homes and tall trees in the Oakleigh Garden District/Midtown, Mobile. They offer small plates and also larger plate meals. There are several vegetarian options on the menu and the chef is more than willing to create vegan meals. Their menu is seasonal so it does change from time to time. As I write this review they have plenty of salads, hummus, and a tofu curry dish but when I wasn't in the mood for tofu or salad and asked if they could prepare a vegan meal for me they said, "Sure" and whipped up a great pasta dish in the kitchen. Kitchen on George also has a full bar with good wines, outdoor seating, and fantastic service. What more can I say? Check it out! Oh, and they also support education--via the culinary institute of the college of Virginia in Mobile.

Pros: Veg-friendly, Fresh, Sustainable

Cons: Can be noisy when crowded
