Love the food here. As has been mentioned, they can indeed accommodate vegans, but dairy finds its way culturally in to a lot of Nepalese food, even the bread which is rubbed with Ghee (clarified butter), same with "Indian" food or Naan in general.
Read moreThe veggie options are so delicious. As a huge fan of curries, even my go to places would serve up bland and watery mixed veg at times of high demand, but the food here has always been full flavored and enjoyable.
The Krishna Thali is immense value and delicious mix of curry, pickles, sides and bread with the already mentioned momos (dumplings) being possibly the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.
The quirky Prakash will look after you properly, reccomending specials and generally regaining you with tales of Nepal and its culture.
Please! Enjoy
Pros: Nepali spiced food , Delicious
Cons: Slightly old style

Very Nice - Edit
I visit her quite regularly and I enjoy every visit. Firsty, the regular waiter, Prakash, is a genuinely very nice guy and extremely helpful. For a starter I also go for the veg momo's (vegan). There are plenty of delicious vegan and vegetarian starters but I can never look past the momo's. If you have never tried them, you must. For a main my favourites include an understanding Dal Makhani (Vegetarian, as includes butter and cream). The Aloo Tama(Vegan) is outstanding, a tomato based curry with potatoes, bamboo shoots and legumes.
Read moreDuring my last visit, it was 14.99 for a starter and main with a beer or wine. I am unsure if this was just during the weekdays or all week.
Pros: Excellent Food, Friendly Staff, Great Value
Cons: Vegan food not marked, but that's very common,

Decent Nepalese restaurant - Edit
I have experienced the Kathmandu Kitchen as absolutely decent Nepalese restaurant.
Read moreI was one of only two guests at lunch time, so there was not much waiting time. I had a Daal with mushroom rice (rice has to be ordered additionally, hence it is not included in the main dish). All in all good and decent. The waiter was attentive and friendly.
Pros: clean, friendly, good food
Cons: could be a bit cheaper

Vegan friendly? No! - Edit
Dropped £39.50 on a takeaway to have with friends I was visiting in Belfast (LOVE BELFAST!!!).
Read moreWas assured that all food that I ordered was vegan. Their postings say they are vegan-friendly so thought all was good.
Told half hour but had to wait another 15 mins when i got there.
Got back (3 miles ftom restaurant) - started eating vegan kebab and realised it was full of coleslaw.
Felt really sick at thought of eating egg so was unable to pick at other bits we haf got with takeaway.
Realy gutted - totally frustrated with restaurants claiming to be vegan-friendly who are, very clearly, not.
Will not be returning - did go to japanese restaurant nearby called Sakura - amazing vegan menu - try avacado and tofu roll ..mmmmm..!!!!
Cons: Long wait for food, Not vegan friendly

Delicious food in a lovely atmosphere - Edit
The waiter I spoke to when I arrived didn't know what vegan meant, but that was more of a language barrier than a lack of knowledge I think. I asked him to tell me which of the veg options were dairy-free, which was fine, and there was a good choice. The food was lovely, and the portions were a good size. Friendly service and a really calm atmosphere that contributed to my enjoyment of the food.

Delicious - Edit
Offers authentic Nepalese dishes that are delicious, freshly made, healthy and easy on the oil. There are numerous veggie options and for vegans, staff are very friendly and accommodating and will leave out, for example, cream for kormas, or paneer from the veggie momos. I would recommend the festival bean soup, momos, and the amazing pancha ratna daal.
