Definitely a hidden jewel - Edit
Very friendly and polite welcome. When asked about vegan, they asked what we would like and they will make it vegan. They also confirmed when they served us our order that it was vegan. The person who took our order also went to talk to the chef to ensure we got our options as vegan. Great tasting mixed veg masala and korma with rice

Most of the vegetable dishes are either vegan or can be made vegan.
Read moreThe menu is rather old fashioned with vegan options not listed as so & the staff are great at listing what is available for vegans.
There is plenty of choice and the food is devine.

We accidentally found this wonderful place while on holiday.
Read moreThe staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and showed us the large of vegan dishes.
Poppodums with pickle were beautiful as a starter along with a big choice of others.
I can't remember the name of it but we chose some type of crispy bread that included chickpea & lentils with an aromatic spice.
We then moved on to aloo Gobi, tarka dhal & sagaloo with garlic rice and vegetable rice.
Portions were a great size and the staff very attentive.
There isn't much in the way of fine dining for Vegans in Castle Douglas and this was a nice surprise.
We will definitely come back here on our next visit.

We have just been back and yes, most of the vegetable dishes are vegan or can be made vegan on request. There are no shortage of vegan options here. ☺️
We enjoyed another great meal and the staff were friendly and helpful as ever.
