Serves meat. Good service and a touch expensive, both of which you come to expect from The Ivy. Could do with a slightly greater variety of options, but there is a separate vegetarian and vegan menu. Support your local vegan spot first if you can, but if you get dragged here as part of a group, at least you know you'll have options.

Not good for vegans

The options are salad or a sweet potato curry, with fruit salad or sorbet for dessert. They are not doing a festive menu at all for vegans, so we cancelled our booking for Christmas.

Some vegan options but not very imaginative

Expensive eatery with a good reputation. It has a vegan/vegetarian menu but the options are limited and not very imaginative. You don’t really feel any thought has been put into the vegan options; feels like they are just ticking the box to say they have options. I haven’t visited here more than twice because I don’t want to eat the same thing again.

It’s getting there

Still has room to improve in terms of offering a more unique menu that doesn’t resort to curries all the time but a for effort in putting together an actual vegan menu.

I did have the chance to try the rhubarb and almond panna cotta and it was a delight! The Asian tossed salad however was bathing in oil and sugar, impossible to finish.

Pros: Lots of options, Good atmosphere

Cons: Expensive

Very special

The vegan food is limited but really good. Lovely atmosphere, good service and beautiful restaurant. Not too expensive either. Well worth trying - it’s a very special place

Very few options

There were only 2 vegan main and starter options. I went with the avocado salad to start and sweet potato curry for main. Both were really nice but there is definitely room for improvement. More and more places are now offering vegan options which is great and makes it much easier to go out for a meal with friends that eat meat but I do feel a salad is a bit of a cop out for a vegan option. Bill came to over £100 for the two of us and if I’d have had a substantial meal I wouldn’t have minded as the atmosphere, staff and decor where brilliant. This place definitely has potential and hopefully they’ll introduce more items on there menu soon! Until then I probably won’t be going back as the lack of choice doesn’t really justify the hefty price tag.

Pros: Staff, decor and atmosphere

Cons: Expensive , Few vegan options
