Vegan menu, higher prices

The food was good, higher price but still ok. Seperate vegan menu, lots of options to choose from.

Best vegan burger ever

This place is amazing! We had a vegan beetroot burger that was layered to perfection with bursting flavours! It was super crispy in the outside and perfectly soft on de inside with great toppings. Then we also had a vegan pizza with sun-dried tomatoes and arugula and let me tell you the vegan mozzarella is almost a bit too convincing. Downside is that it's quite expensive, although very much worth every penny!

Cons: Expensivee

Divine Pizza

I went on a quest to find the best pizza places in Samui and I can happily say that the pizza at The Hungry Wolf is definitely up there.
The pizza base has a very pleasant consistency, I personally really like that it's not too thin or crunchy. The vegan mozzarella that they use is tasty and it's probably the best I've had. It tastes and feels very much like the real thing. The toppings are always fresh and generous.
Other dishes like vegan burgers and Thai food are also delicious.
This place deserves 5 stars!

Best Western Food - Deserves 5 Stars!

Hungry Wolf is sure one of the best places on the island to eat Western vegan food. Pasta is cooked to al dente perfection, burgers are big and have a pleasant crunch on the outside. Will try vegan pizza soon, no doubt it's great too!

Considering location, quality and portion size, the pricing is reasonable. It's easy to overeat on 500 baht. Fancy resort restaurants won't fill you up for the same price.

With all the selection of vegan burgers, they could easily go 100% vegan :)

My initial impression about burgers has degraded over time, mainly due to them being very greasy. Still love their pizza though!

Was really impressed by their vegan pizzas and especially the vegan mozzarella that was on it! A bit pricey but really worth it!

Best vegan food in Ko Samui?!

I was so pleasantly surprised to see that the Hungry Wolf had such a huge vegan menu. From smoothie bowls, to salads, wraps, 4 different kinds of burgers and tons of Thai food! Not only do they have an awesome eat in menu but their delivery menu is also amazing.

Great vegan pizza

Great vegan pizza, mediocre burger. Good service. Vegan mozzarella on pizza was amazing. Cheddar on burger wasnt. [censored] wine (dont know what i was thinking ordering wine in thailand, but all the wine bottles on the wall tricked me). Very expensive (european prices)

Pros: Pizza!, Service

Cons: Price, Wine

Dear Curky, thank you very much for your review, but I would like to point out that the only vegan items that cost 500 thb in our restaurant are double patty beyond burgers, so I have no idea where did you get those figures from. You can eat Thai dishes in 99 - 180 thb range (3-6 usd) and those are full sized main dishes. Our pizza range from 199 to 330 thb (6-10 usd) and all of the ingredients, inlcuding flour, tomatoes, olive oil are imported from Italy. Same with the pasta, which is 99-220 thb range, healthy food 180-260 thb range.

Incredibly tasty food

Absolutely loved their sweet potato burger!! They have a vegan menu as well as their normal menu. I just wish the place was more cosy and hang-out-friendly, but it’s great for a quick lunch stop!

Pros: Vegan menu , Sweet potato burger, Friendly and helpful staff

Cons: Not cosy, Presentation of the food , A bit expensive

Best vegan cheese

We tried the panini with vegan mozzarella cheese, omini pork burger, sweetpotato wrap and sweetpotato fries. You can add your spice with the chilisauce and ketchup they offer. Our highlight was the panini.

Pros: Open and friendly staff, Short waiting times, A lot of vegan options

Cons: Serve meat

Good.

Good range of vegan options. Had the vegan pizza, was a little thin but for a Thai pizza it was okay. “Cheese” is good though (although not much of it). Also ordered the sweet potato burger, this was good but came here it’s just a burger no chips, Salad or anything else, which for the high price I think is unacceptable. Has almond milk for coffees but aren’t sure on how to make them into lattes etc yet but an iced white coffee is refreshing and tasty. Also tried the chocolate pie, is was mediocre and took a while to come as it was frozen. Staff are friendly and the place is clean, but they need to decide whether they’re a cafe or an expensive restaurant because at the moment they’re trying to be both and it doesn’t really work.
Overall food is expensive for what you get cost £23 all together, which is just way over budget for most travellers.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Vegan desserts , Almond milk

Cons: Very Expensive , Needs an identity , Portions are small

Top

Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienungen, viele vegane Optionen (sogar eine extra vegane Speisekarte ) und extrem gutes Essen. Jedoch für thailändische Verhältnisse etwas teuer.

Possibly the best vegan pizza I've had

I've tried a lot of vegan pizzas, mainly in the UK, and I think this may just be the best I've had! My partner and I spent the whole meal wondering if it was actually vegan cheese as it was so close to Mozzarella. Separate vegan menu with about 10 dishes plus they had a separate vegan specials board when we visited.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly staff, Amazing Vegan cheese

Cons: 30 minute wait for food

Separate vegan menu

We visited here twice, they have a separate vegan menu, also had a big vegan special board. We tried the arrabbiata pasta with Omni pork. Would not recommend the omni pork. But when returning I had the creamy garlic mushroom pasta. AMAZING. Would definitely recommend to try this place. They have vegan cheese for pizza (mozzarella) and also for pasta ( parmesan).

Hungry Wolf before Prego

I want to give them 5-stars, because they are better than Prego and feature a separate vegan menu so you can save your brainpower for the morning crossword— all jokes aside, I appreciate the clarity and just like I prefer my meals prepped in vegan-committed cookware it is nice to feel catered to when searching for plant-based meals. (Also, I cut them some slack for serving meat/dairy, you gotta keep business moving when you’re in prime real estate territory). Pizza after 15:00 (3pm) could be an issue, but wasn’t for me today!

TLDR— My mushroom-artichoke pizza was awesome, better than others in the same area.

Pros: Committed plant-based menu, Good vegan cheese!

Cons: Pizza only after 15:00 (weekdays only maybe?)

Amazing vegan mozzarella pizza

We had pizzas with vegan mozzarella, rocket, mushrooms, and it was definitely one of the best vegan pizzas we've had in Thailand.
The cheese would fool any caseine addict 😀👍
A bit on the pricey side, 2 pizzas and 3 mango shakes were 1100 bahts. But worth it

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Yummy vegan cheese, Nice place and friendly stuff

Comfort

Ate a vegan pizza with veggies and beet burger. Both delicious but left us with a comfort food hangover. If you need a fix after too much Thai food this is it. Both dishes delicious but heavy. Vegan cheese! Vegan menu.

Pros: Comfort food, Yummy, Vegan menu with vegan cheese

Cons: Food hang over, Pricey

Vegan pizza!

Really nice little restaurant that’s easy to locate with a separate vegan menu. I had the vegan margarita pizza and it was so good! Great little find, I would recommend!

Pros: Separate vegan menu., Reasonably priced.

Plenty of vegan options, great atmosphere, lovely & helpful staff!

My travelling partners and I were so excited to find this place while we were wandering through Chawen- they even had a vegan menu. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted by staff, who spoke English well. The restaurant is clean and has a casual yet trendy atmosphere. I was keen for pizza, but unfortunately it wasn't available until after 3 PM, so instead I opted for a cheesy pasta, which was also unavailable as they had run out of the sauce. No stress- I still had plenty of options and this time went for the mushroom pasta (where I was given a choice of pasta types and went with linguine). My travelling buddies chose non-veg options of a wrap and a salad and were most impressed, as was I with my delicious pasta. I would have loved to return to try their pizzas and the cheesy pasta, but unfortunately that was our last time in Chaweng.

Pros: separate vegan menu, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and setting

Cons: not really a con, but no pizza until after 3pm

Lovely

This is a really nice restaurant with great vegan options - separate menu.
The waiter is also extremely friendly and helpful.

I had the vegan peanut butter bowl and it was 260TBH, but it is a large bowl so it is well worth the money and overall quite healthy.

Would definitely recommend visiting here.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Large portions (for the smoothie bowls)
