Great lunch spot - Edit
Lovey family run cafe. Lots of vegan lunch options with generous portions. I really enjoyed the tofu skewer (one of the deli lunch options) which came with an array of salads. They also had a vegan option on the cream tea which my partner rated highly.

Cosy cafe, delicious vegan food clearly made with love - Edit
Enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Hive, vegan mezze with the mushroom and hazelnut parcel was excellent; came with 8 different salad tasters, chutney and warm new potatoes. Homemade Burger was very tasty and filling. Honey cake and chocolate cherry cake divine.

Cute family run cafe - Edit
We found this place on happycow and used google maps to find it as it was a little out the way. They café itself was quirky and had a small courtyard out the back. The food was great, we had a meze style meal which was full of colour and flavour. They service was great too. There was a range of vegan cakes and pastries which looked delicious and fresh too. Would be in there all the time if we lived closer.

Wonderful cafe - a must-visit - Edit
Vegetarian café with nearly every dish vegan or vegan-option. Absolutely delicious and fresh food. Vegan coleslaw and coffee chocolate brownies - yum! Oh - and vegan cheesecakes! Very friendly team cooking and out front. Will definitely be back there whenever I'm in Weymouth.

Delicious vegan cakes - Edit
Unfortunately we couldn't try the lunch at the HiVe as we were only passing through Weymouth before our hikes. Luckily, one day we got back just before closing time so we could still enjoy a cake. We regretted not postponing lunch till we got here because it looked amazing. On the other hand, opening hours are limited and we didn't want to risk to arrive in a sold out or closed restaurant. People arriving after us, right at 3pm (closing time), were still able to order lunch.
Read moreVegan and gluten free items are clearly indicated. Our vegan berry cheesecake and flapjack were both delicious.
The have a cosy seating area, also outside where we enjoyed our post-hike treat.
Pros: many vegan options, friendly staff
Cons: limited opening hours

Crafted food of high quality with plenty of vegan and gluten free options. - Edit
Super friendly group of people served us when we visited over the weekend. All the food is clearly labelled with a colour coding system to identify vegan, dairy free and gluten free, this is super helpful and saves a lot of us muddling over what we can have. The guy who appears to do most of the cooking is so incredibly passionate about the food he makes. He reeled off a mouth watering list of options for us that were vegan and gluten free. I went with the burger which was extremely tasty. But the pièce de résistance was his lime, chocolate and ginger cake! Damn!!! Finally, this is one of the most reasonably priced places I’ve been to for this kind of quality food.

A gem in a vegan desert - Edit
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely quirky space with some outdoor tables too. Good choice of food (traffic light coding so you know what is vegan or vegetarian), very tasty and good sized portions too. Highly recommend to any vegetarians and vegans staying in the Weymouth area. Only downside are the slightly restricted opening hours.

Warm Welcome - Edit
We had a lovely lunch at The Hive, the owners were very welcoming and as a vegan I was excited by the amount of choice, including delicious puddings. My fussy meat eating husband found it easy to find something to eat which he enjoyed and loved the puddings too. Will be back!

A vegan dream! - Edit
I visited The HiVe Cafe on my last day holidaying in Weymouth and wished I'd found it sooner. The menu was well labelled with a green dot indicating vegan, a yellow dot indicating gluten free and a red dot indicating dairy free, with most items on the menu being vegan. My sister and dad both had the soup of the day and I had garlic bread, which was made with oil rather than butter. Both were very tasty and well presented. We had three of their desserts to share - warm ginger and apple cake with vanilla ice cream, mixed berry chocolate cake and lemon cake. All three were delicious with the lemon cake being particularly light and fluffy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the cafe had a warm homely feel to it.

Friendly family-run place with good food - Edit
We stumbled across this lovely little veggie cafe by chance and were so glad we did! The place is run by a very friendly vegetarian family. There are options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free eaters, though many of them do come with bread (GF bread available). The falafel was delicious, would highly recommend! Definitely check this spot out :)
