Sandwiches meh - Edit
Had the Philly cheesesteak and a chopped cheese sandwich. And had to ask if they put any cheese on either . If you have to ask if there is cheese then that’s an issue .. lol the word cheese is literally in the name .. anyways cook and server said it had it . Never tasted it on the chop cheese . Didn’t look like the pics .. and wasn’t how it was described. Anyways . Service was meh and food was ok . Love supporting this place . But probably will stick to sweets .

Great experience - Edit
We are from New York and this is our second trip to the Hearty Hooligan. On this trip, I had the protein breakfast bowl and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak. Both were very good. We also had to have dessert so I had a chocolate chip cookie and he had the vanilla ice cream sandwich between two chocolate chip cookies. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Pretty good junk food, best dessert ever! - Edit
Hearty hooligans junk food I am not usually a fan of but this time I enjoyed what I chose it was pretty tasty just definitely junk food. The dessert though was spectacular as always!

Genuinely one of the best vegan lunches I’ve had in a very long time! I had the chopped cheese sandwich and loaded dill pickle fries, both of which were amazing! Service was incredibly quick and the person working the front of the cafe was extremely friendly and efficient. I’m looking forward to coming back again soon!

Delicious food and wonderful staff - Edit
I had Hearty Hooliganism year ago at a Veg Fest and was blown away by the Punkaroos (vegan dunkaroos). Made the trip to their home base in Hamilton and was not disappointed. The food is delicious (comforting fast food style meals - don’t go here for “health” lol). The staff member working there was incredibly friendly. Will 100% make the 1 1/2 trip back again (got my eye on their milkshakes😉). I had the Vegan Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Dill Pickle Loaded Fries, 10/10.

This restaurant has lots of options that I didn’t think I would ever eat again as a vegan. I must say that their fries are delicious and you can get them in many different ways. I had the Philly cheesesteak fries and I was impressed. Reason why I didn’t give a full five is because every time I eat here my stomach is so sick after because everything is so greasy.

Amazing Breakfast Burrito, cookies and atmosphere - Edit
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fun games and things you can do while you're waiting for your food. But the real real champion is the food itself. Big breakfast burrito my wife and I split. We enjoyed the smoothie and the cookies were amazing for lunch. Everything in this place is awesome including the staff. Kindness abounds in this shop right on the main drag.

The place was popping. Every table full and a continuous line up for take away. We waited a long time for our meal but everything was hot, fresh and delicious when it arrived.

Best Vegan Spot in Hamilton - Edit
This place just gets better with time. Vegan junk food at its finest but won't leave your stomach in a bad place after. They have recently updated their menu and they are now selling their Pizza Pockets at local stores so they are doing so many things right.

Came back from Niagara Falls and stopped at this place in Hamilton for a bite.
Read moreSuper dope interior from the sticker walls to all the retro arcade games made into tables. They also have a bunch of board games and trivia cards that were fun to play while we waited for the food.
We grabbed the Philly cheese steak and breakfast wrap. Both really good. The breakfast wrap lacked a bit of sauce so we made some spicy ketchup from the sauces they provided. Never had a cheesesteak and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
We also grabbed a punkaroo cookie and a date square from their baked goods areas. The punkaroo was basically two vanilla cookies with marshmallow sprinkle frosting inside. Think of a dunkaroo but sandwich cookie form. Amazing! #Veganuary

So many different sweet and savoury options but the desserts specifically are always on point. They do custom order desserts like the Simpsons cake my wife ordered for my last birthday. Delicious! Also, don’t sleep on the Jamaican patties when they come around. Super spicy and delicious.

Having followed the Hearty Hooligan’s ins for a number of years, I finally dined at the Hooligan for the first time yesterday. I was genuinely blown away: well designed punk decor, friendly staff, tasty food, shared hatred of cilantro, all at a budget price. This is one of the few woman owned restaurants that truly deliver.

I would not hesitate to visit again. Great job for creating such an amazing and inclusive place.

I originally hadn’t tried this place because I’m sensitive to overly fried foods but they actually were the perfect balance of junk food without being overly fried! The portion sizes are great and the prices are reasonable.

They also have a huge selection of desserts of which we bought quite a few. All perfect! The punkaroo is delicious !
The vibe in here is really cool with old school cartoons on the walls as well arcade style tables.
Being that it’s a junk food theme, you won’t find much in the way of salads or veggies here in case that’s a problem for anyone.
They’re open later than a lot of vegan spots and also open Monday!
We will certainly be back!

One of the Best Vegan Restaurants in Hamilton - Edit
Food is always amazing, I love the Crunchwrap. Wait time is not bad and customer service is good. Very fun interior. Great unique menu items that you won’t find elsewhere. Bakery items are decorated wonderfully but a little too sweet for my taste sometimes. Can be a little pricey but nothing too out there compared to other restaurants in Hamilton.
