Great selection but expensive - Edit
What was $4.99 in another health food shop the other day (Violife cream cheese) is $6.49 here. At these prices, I'd prefer Whole Foods.

Cramped but big health food store (part of a chain) with plenty of things to choose from, including many vegan items. Whole Foods nearby is bigger, but this place is plenty big as well, and it has a less “corporate” feel.

Neighborhood gem - Edit
I first learned about Health Nuts when I worked near the one in the Midtown East area. This one on the upper westside is a terrific, health-oriented grocery store that also has cooked food and made-to-order juices. The fresh produce is the real star though, as it items are always fresh.
