Great find for vegans in PEC - Edit
Found this place while refueling our vehicle. We were visiting wineries in the area and trying to find something other than pizza without cheese. We stopped in at the Green Root and picked up some snacks and ingredients for a vegan charcuterie plate plus some quick breakfast items we could keep in our hotel room. I noticed they also carry a lot of items I usually have to order from Amazon. I highly recommend this place for anyone with non traditional dietary needs.

Coming from Vancouver, the vegan options in the Bay of Quinte Region had left a lot to be desired. Then I found the Green Root and everything changed. The selection of vegan options in the shop exceeded all expectations. I was overjoyed to find so many of the Vancouver products that I already know and love as well as new local products, which will undoubtedly soon become new favourites. The shopkeepers are also so friendly and helpful. With the combination of delicious vegan foods I'd been missing and such kind people, the shop had a very warm, homey feel and I am planning to become a regular!

We moved to the area from the GTA and were concerned about all of our favourite items, they sell everything or can get everything and the prices are comparable or even less than we paid closer to Toronto. My husband is a regular there!!!

TONS of vegan options here - Edit
I was visiting Belleville for a week and was so disappointed I couldn't find many vegan restaurants or places to buy vegan food. I stumbled across The Green Root through a FB post and was so impressed when I stopped in this store, they have more vegan items than many stores in bigger cities. Prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely a new favourite for when I come back to Belleville! Thank you Mom & Daughter owner for opening this fantastic store!!
