Closed well in advance - Edit
We went there on purpose but half an hour before closing time (9pm) they were fully closed (completely cleaned, dark and no customers). They said the kitchen really closes down before 8pm so you probably should get there by 7-7.30 if you want to eat there. Despite the fact that we had gone there on purpose and had no other place to go to, they didn't really help us find a solution.
Read moreWe ended up not being able to eat that evening, which was extremely disappointing. As a business, you can close whenever you want but you should be honest about it online and show more respect for your customers.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Their opening times are misleading, They don't make any effort to help customers

Nice food :) - Edit
The fried rice was really good. I did think that generally it was quite overpriced for Taipei, but defo would recommend!

Tastes amazing but closes early - Edit
The kitchen closes super early so make sure you get there at least an hour and a half before closing, otherwise the options are extremely limited. Also very expensive

Delicious! - Edit
I’ve been a few times here, and always love it. All of the food I’ve tried is delicious. On my most recent visit I found that the spring rolls were overcooked and extremely oily (almost dripping with oil), but they aren’t normally like that. I also ordered a green curry, which was packed with vegetables. The portion sizes are definitely quite generous. I have a fairly large appetite but couldn’t finish everything, so I took left overs and was able to have a full second meal. The service needs a little work, in my experience, but the food is so amazing I will definitely keep going back.

My favourite place in the whole world - Edit
I ate there more than 50 times I guess! ahaha YES I love every single dish, the chef is the best a MASTER of life! The owner and the staff are wonderful and the food mind-blowing, the only place in my life that after one year of eating there I was wanting and craving more and more, I never got tired and I can't wait to go back to Taiwan just to indulge in this FANTASTIC place! The best food you will ever try, book your table with friends and stay awhile to try every single dish! THE BEST.

Delicious Pad Thai - Edit
Nice restaurant in a quiet residential area. Nice ambience, a little dark. I ordered the pad Thai, it was pretty good. I would have tried the spring rolls but I was too full that day... The staff were kind of aloof, I thought... And the service a little slow, but the food was nice when it was served. I'd like to visit again and try their other menu items, if I ever get a chance!

Good vegan Thai restaurant with some room for improvement - Edit
Read more in this vegan Taipei guide: https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-taipei-guide/ Green Room is one of the few places that serves Thai food and is all vegan. The place is also pretty, especially the front part of the restaurant which looks like a greenhouse. The food is great at this place. All the dishes I tried are delicious, including the yellow curry served in a coconut, crispy spring roll and kombucha shake. One complaint is that, unlike many other veg places in Taipei, they still use plastic straw for the drink at the time of visit. One thing to note is that the service is a bit slow here. Allocate more time if you plan to come here.

Didn't live up to the hype - Edit
The service was really slow: out of my party of seven, everyone had basically finished eating before I received my order of pumpkin moon cake (NT$160 for four pieces) and pad thai (NT$220). I also thought it was quite pricey for what I got, partially from the relatively small portion size and partially from this nagging feeling that the flavor profiles were missing a key element. Good thing I didn't have to pay NT$130 for the terrible, dry cupcake I got since they offer free desserts if you have a Plants Fan VIP card. I wish I got something else though. With the service level I got, the 10% service fee seemed excessive. I do not plan to return.

Great Thai Food - Edit
It's very reliable to order food here, because they never use any animal products such as egg and milk, instead they use local fresh fruits and vegetables and non-GMO ingredients, that's so great! I recommend everyone to try the pad thai and the Singaporean fried rice . These two dishes remind me of the Thai restaurant that I always have woth my family in the old times. visit date: 2019-04

ok place - Edit
i might be the only one being not all that impressed... and neither were my friends. we ordered two starters - spring rolls and avocado rolls. the avocado rolls arrived after we already had all the other food... both were ok but not overwhelming. green curry was very good! the plate of vegetables was mainly morning glory with a bit of chili and some mushrooms - which i wouldn’t call mixed vegetables. the balls which the menu says are a „must try“ were pretty disappointing. the best part were the desserts! the tiramisu was amazing! the macha cake was pretty good too! don’t go here for cocktails! we had three and none was very good. they also took forever and arrived in a time span of 30 minutes instead of together at one time?! i was also irritated that they call it thai cuisine while there’s a lot of chinese/taiwanese dishes on the menu. altogether, i wouldn’t come back.

Book a seat in the window area in advance - the other areas are way too dim. The tofu lemon lettuce was the best dish we ordered. Will definitely come back to try others!

@ GREAT Vegan Restaurant!! - Edit
Yes, I just love this Vegan restaurant!!! The food is incredibly delicious - using fresh ingredients and that's what I love the most! This restaurant specializes in Thai cuisine but it does offer some other Asian cuisine as well.
Read moreThe food portion is so huge, I always want to try more dishes butI just can't put that much into my stomach. The TomYum & curry dishes are delicious, wanted to try their speciality beverage - lemongrass white coffee but was told unavailable, gotta try it in my next visit!
The interior design of the restaurant is pretty cool, you can sit by the full glass window to enjoy your meals or you can also choose to have more privacy and sit behind the counter area. It's a little dark though.
Simply love this restaurant - highly recommended! I'd have given more stars if only I could lol
Pros: Service, Good vegan food
Cons: None I'd think of

I've been here twice and both time really enjoyed my meal. The dishes are smaller in size so best to go with friends and share. Their set menu is pretty decent you'll have the chance to taste everything. Excellent curry, soups, and salad. Will come back for sure!

All the decors and the ambulance over there made me feel like I'm really in Thailand. The waiters are all willing to explain their menu and always have a big smile on their faces. Their food is so good, be sure to try their spring rolls!!! I've been there with my non-vegan family and they love it!

FInally, Vegan Thai Food! - Edit
Since moving to Taipei, I've had a lot of difficulty finding vegan Thai food (at least, confirming that something does or does not have fish sauce has been an ambiguity which has led me astray) so - discovering the Green Room led to a lot of excitement and anticipation for my first Thai food in over a year.
Read moreOverall, the experience was wonderful. My partner and I went on a Friday night - didn't book a reservation, and it was pretty packed, but we got a small table very quickly.
The vibe is nice - it's a small, cozy place, perfect for a date night with your favorite vegan.
Service was speedy, attentive, and patient with our broken Mandarin. Menu was in English and Chinese.
The food was spot on! We ordered the green curry with rice, and pad thai - both of which were flavorful, and the right level of spicy for us. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu (because what vegan can resist tiramisu?) and the sticky rice with fruit - both which we would highly recommend.
Considering the ingredients are locally sourced, and comparing it to other vegan restaurants in Taipei, the price is excellent. Their lunch special also sounds like a great deal, which I plan on checking out soon!
All and all, great experience!
Pros: Locally sourced ingredients, fresh, flavorful food, nice vibe
