Disappointing - Edit

I called at this hotel earlier in the day to ask if they served vegan food. They had two choices (a chilli and a burger) so my husband an I booked for an evening meal later that day. I ordered the vegan burger meal (stipulating VEGAN). When it arrived at the table I checked to see if the coleslaw was actually vegan (it looked very creamy). The owner checked with the chef. No! The coleslaw wasn’t vegan. I asked ‘is the mozzarella cheese vegan? He went and checked. No! It it wasn’t vegan either! They re-cooked and served me the meal. Without vegan coleslaw, salsa or vegan mozzarella as per the menu. I didn’t eat the mushroom because I swear it had been cooked in butter! A very disappointing meal. Luckily I wasn’t charged, but that’s not the point. If you have any food allergies or preferences I wouldn’t eat here, the chef and the owner can’t be trusted!!!
I posted the above honest review on Tripadvisor and got a very nasty and threatening comment back from the owner, claiming to get the food police on me (lol), which is another reflection why NOT to visit this hotel if you’re vegan, or not.

Not too shabby - Edit

It’s a shame there aren’t more options, but the chilli is lovely as well as the aubergine, potato and mushroom curry (special). Two vegan desserts offered (specials) - salted caramel brownie and gluten-free apple pie with vegan ice cream. No veeg starters from what I could see. All in all good enough and nice to have the option when dining with omnis :)

Pros: Friendly staff, Tasty food

Cons: Unimaginative/unoriginal options , Service/timing was a little inconsistent
