Oil-Free Options

At the end of a trip with too much oil, it was great to find a restaurant with no-oil options. I enjoyed the Biryani.

At least one great vegan option

Baba gonesh and tabouli are both fire and served with generous portions in person. The baba gonesh in particular does have a smoky pork-esque taste and I'm unsure how they prepare their pita bread so maybe ask questions if you're unsure.

Updated from previous review on 2023-12-12

Pros: Tabouli, Portion sizes (in person)

Cons: Carnivore options dominate this kitchen. , Pita may not be vegan, Ingredients might be prepared next to animals =c

Good food fast

I loved ordering from this place on Uber Eats. I got a big portion of food in a timely manner. Thank you for having more vegan choices here in Louisville

Oil-free vegan options

The Grape Leaf is one of our all time favorites. Their food is always authentic and perfect with flavors that never disappoint your palette.

The Grape Leaf also has oil-free vegan options on their menu which are Esselstyn Compliant (both Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease). Please emphasize your oil-free needs and know that their breads are not Esselstyn Compliant and occasionally they might put nuts on your salad or bring out a little side of sauce that has dairy. With all this in mind please take comfort in knowing that The Grape Leaf can and will come through with an Esselstyn Compliant meal that will blow your mind. In fact our entire Esselstyn support group had an absolutely amazing dinner at the Grape Leaf where they fed 70 plus people with completely compliant and amazing food.

FYI: Esselstyn "Prevent Heart Disease" Compliant meals fall into these guidelines: Only Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes. Nothing processed, enriched or bleached. No meat or dairy. Esselstyn "Reverse Heart Disease" compliance includes absolutely no added or existing oils including lecithin, nuts, coconut or avocado.

The Grape Leaf is "TOP NOTCH" so don't miss out.

COVID-19 UPDATE: The Grape Leaf is providing curb side service and I'm pleased to announce that the quality and quantity of their meals has not been compromised by the COVID-19 impact. They are totally living up to the reputation they built upon in our community. Way to go Grape Leaf.

Pros: Vegan and Oil-free options available

Cons: None that I could think of.

Delicious food!

My sisters and I are brunch there and one really liked the fish tacos and smoothie, the other just had eggs and potatoes, and I had the falafel sandwich with rice and steamed greens. It was very delicious! The only downfall was the forgetfulness of the staff. One forgot our napkins we had asked for, and another forgot that we wanted just one check. Other than that the outside setting was relaxing and I recommend it!

Pros: Fairly inexpensive , Tasty food, Comfortable outside setting

Cons: Some forgetfulness , Lack of parking

A must for vegetarians and vegans

The Grape Leaf is one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. It is very accommodating to vegetarians and vegans, with some really delicious options such as lentil soup, falafel, hummus, salads and great entrees. The Grape Leaf is a must for lunch or dinner. Outdoor seating and being able to bring your own wine are two other perks!

Pros: Outdoor seating, Many options, Service
