Horrible pizza but decent salad - Edit
I just happened to be across the street from The Grand when I found them on this app so thought I’d give the pizza a try because of the positive reviews. I had The Vegetariana with cashew cheese. As soon as it came out I knew it wasn’t going to be good. The crust was so thin and burnt in round spots PLUS the crust was soggy. Burnt and soggy. The flavours were bland. Very disappointing. Luckily the side salad was decent but an expensive $50 salad. Don’t recommend.

Vegetarian food options are clearly marked -there are a few options. I had a mushroom pizza, which was very nice. The staff were pleasant. The only downside was that drinks were not marked, so no idea if they were vegan or not.

Wood-fired pizza place with vegan cashew ‘cheese’ - Edit
Had The Vegan pizza, and it was delicious! They don’t skimp on the toppings. Cashew ‘cheese’ was good, but not as salty as expected. Venue is a heritage building as well with a nice covered patio area.

We went there 2 times and tested pizza, pasta and the bruschetta. The pizza and pasta were amazing, super tasty, well made, very good! I didn't like the bruschetta, the bread was not toasted and the cheese raw (unmelted).

We were staying at the Andez hotel and could see The Grand from our window. Couldn’t find options on their website but we were after a cold pint anyways. House hunting is hard and we were sitting here as we put an offer in somewhere. We were pleasantly surprised when they had options. So ordered pizza and ravioli. I loved both my husband did not really like the ravioli but he’s not a pasta person. We have decided that this our restaurant to visit though as we bought a house here!

Underwhelming and pricey - Edit
I'm glad they have a few vegan options on the menu, but the vegan pizza was very underwhelming. There was barely any vegan cheese or toppings, and the crust was burnt. The vegan cheese they used tasted like nothing. I can't believe I paid 23$ for this. The waiter was also quite rude to us.

It was nice to sit on their patio and enjoy the vegan pizza. It was delicious! The cashew cheese was really good and the crust amazing. The vegan options are well marked on the menu making it easy to decide what to order.

Love going to The Grand! A little bit pricey but they have great vegan options. They have a designated vegan pizza but you can also swap for vegan cheese on their other vegetarian pizzas. Their vegan ravioli is amazing!! They also have a few other vegetarian pasta options and a beyond meat burger! Service is always great and in the summer it’s really nice to sit on their patio and experience downtown Ottawa!
