Great food, with many different menu items to choose from so that even our kids (who can be picky every now and then) found things they liked. The service was friendly and helpful too and the prices fair. Definitely recommended for eating out as a family.
Read moreOne thing that could be made clearer on the menu is that everything is in fact 100% vegan, as descriptions like "chicken" could just as well refer to meat. The menu does include the word vegan in the title, but it is not clear enough in my opinion that this refers to all food served there.

The food is fresh, the recipes excellent, the restaurant clean and vibrantly decorated, and the people friendly! There’s a big menu selection, they serve lunch and dinner. We were there for breakfast and the omelette was terrific and the waffles were light and flavorful.

It's nothing fancy, but it is definitely a family spot to go to, and maybe introduce your non-vegan family members to Vegan food that really is traditional and brings the classics such as grilled cheese or Ruben sandwiches but with a cruelty-free taste :)
The service is very good and fast.
The various locations have their charm and are very cute.

Came for breakfast, ordered 2 breakfast burritos and guac and chips. Definitely filling but burritos were stuffed with tons of potatoes, plus served with potatoes on the side: no sauce, no cheese, no life in this burrito. The Guacamole was not fresh (I mean even Chipotle one is way better). The place itself is not very clean. It could be an ok food truck, but not a top restaurant in the area.

The Grain Cafe is very tasty! Been here a few times and I like everything I've had. I wouldn't get the waffles again because they were a little dry for my taste but they were still good. Love the atmosphere with their outside dining area.

I love that you can get breakfast all day. We had the French toast and veggie omelet. Both were good. It’s hard to find vegan French toast. The fruit that comes with it is melon and grapes, which aren’t really the ideal fruit toppers and it didn’t come with butter. Their hot sauce is legit. The horchata was grainy. I’d go again.

A group of four of us met for brunch. We ordered 4 different coffee drinks to start, which were a great treat. Mine was an oat cappuccino and it was easily the best Ive had in the area, no small feat as the South Bay has some amazing coffee haunts. Then we each ordered a different breakfast and all four of us raved about how fantastic the food was. Only one of us was vegan so I took this as a very good sign that non vegans can dine with vegans here and all are satisfied. The cafe is bright and airy with high ceilings and spaced out tables. Its a great place for breakfast or brunch! Table service was great here too.

We stopped for a quick treat and we weren’t disappointed! We ordered a maca latte and a chai latte along with The Grain Crepe. The crepe was filled with in-season fresh nectarines and strawberries, topped with a non-dairy whip. This will be a regular stop when we’re in Redondo!

Read moreGot the pollo savory crepe w/ side salad, waffle deluxe and a slice of tres leche cake. Every thing was very fresh and tasty.
The crepe was very tasty. Chewy thin crepe with savory vegan chicken and carrot gave great texture. Very flavorful as well but the green sauce on top was a little too rich for my liking.
Waffle was thick, crunchy and sweet with all the topping. Standard vegan sausage and tofu scramble. Hash brown was a little bland.
The tres leche cake was amazing! I was pleasantly surprise that it’s an actual slice of layered cake and not a square that comes with a pool of milk. Very moist and rich but not too heavy and dense in texture. The fruits and the kiwi in between the layer was am excellent touch to cut down the sweetness. So good!
Would 100% recommend if you are by the beach area!!!

If you’re in the area, you absolutely have to stop here. The staff are amazing and there are so many great options. I’d recommend the chai latte, chocolate crepe, or the egg and bacon bagel. I wish I could go here every day so that I can try everything (and I honestly might).

I always come here for breakfast when I’m in the area, one of my favorite places!! Such a huge menu, it’s always hard to decide what to get. The mocha latte was a little too sweet for me but the smoothies are delicious and refreshing!
