Slowwwwwwwww service, too busy to be friendly - Edit
Plenty of vegan options, but expect a wait of 25 mins, take away took 20 just for a takeaway pastie in a bag from the pie warmer! And that was after waiting 8 mins to order. Tasty food, expensive. Amazing bread.

Pumpkin bread! - Edit
I get the sourdough and the pumpkin loaf. Both are delicious breads. The sourdough is great to use as the toast for a vegan brekkie at home and the pumpkin bread is delicious with jam or anything!
Read morePros: Lovely bread., Most breads are vegan.
Cons: I don't get much else here. , They need a vegan pie., They need more vegan food in the cafe.

Great little cafe - Edit
Quite a few marked vegan options on the menu. I got Indian beans on sourdough toast and it was delicious! Ask which loaves of bread are vegan and they'll bring out a list of ingredients. I'd definitely go back.

A few OK vegan options - Edit
This place has a couple of vegan/veganizable options here and there which is where the appeal is for me (not many places in the town can do vegan). The bread is lovely as well.
Read moreUnfortunately, sometimes they'll try to sell items like chai with honey or apple scrolls with honey in the glaze as vegan so always double check with the sweets but the calzone is fine and many of the options can be easily veganized!
It's not the best value for money though.
Pros: vegan options, nice bread
Cons: expensive, will sometimes label honey as vegan

Good bread, disappointing cafe. ): - Edit
There isn't many vegetarian options in Bendigo, maybe if enough people keep asking, they might get the idea one day. After telling the staff we were vegetarian, we picked a Calzone (one of about three veg options), and we were offered the 'salad of the day', Cauliflower salad sounded good. Disappointingly it was full of bacon, and when we pointed this out the waitress agreed, yes it was full of bacon, no apology, no offer to make it right. The place looked a bit depressing after that, lots of flies, the indoor eating place right next to the toilet. A pity really, because the bread is great, and the calzone was quite nice. So, my advice, be careful of the salads in Bendy, and go to the Dhosa Hut instead to be on the safe side.
