A cute, cosy find! - Edit
Had the spicy chickpea curry with extra salad (instead of the pitta as I'm wheat free). Wholesome and friendly service. Recommend!

Lovely place aptly named - Edit
My friends and I had a lovely lunch at The Garden Shed. Cosy simple cafe with tasty home-cooked food and friendly staff. Two of us had the bean stew and another friend had one of the sandwiches. Good value.

For the last two years I have been ordering my (and my non-vegan friends) birthday cakes from Garden Shed Cafe. Last year I ordered an oreo cheesecake (£20) and this year a layered oreo chocolate cake (£25). Everyone at my party loved it!!

Cute little vegan cafe - Edit
Really cute little place. Only a few tables with an open counter. I probably had one of the best cakes here ever! I also have had cheese toasties and a pizza - all very good and unusually, they make their own vegan cheese which is excellent.

Great old school vegan cafe - Edit
100% vegan cafe, reminded me of the few vegan places available in the 80’s and 90’s (great food and lots of animal positive literature...also spotted a copy of ‘The Second Sex’ on the shelf).•
Read moreEveryone has to try the chocolate cheese cake....worth travelling miles for.
Staff fantastic, friendly and engaging. It’s clear that this gem of a place is run by committed vegans and not a chain cashing in on (what they see as) a trend to be exploited for profit.
•All this is a huge compliment!
Pros: 100% vegan, Great staff

ICELAND READY MADE FOOD SOAKED IN OIL - Edit
My boyfriend and I have visited twice in the past. The English breakfast used to be good and they had chocolate cheese cake which was nice. So, we visited again. However, they have since changed their menu, and what we were served is a very tiny portion of cheap freezer food, soaked in oil! The English breakfast consisted of 2 Linda McCartney sausages, 2 small hash browns you can get in Iceland for £1 a bag (they ran out of hash browns so they shouted from behind the till that they’re replacing one of ours with some potatoes, and held up a bag of ready made freezer mini potatoes), some mushrooms, HALF a small salad tomato (fried), and some baked beans in a small pot (about 1/3 of a can)! The scrambled tofu we ordered for £1 extra never came... This is not the first time they forgot an order, of the 3 times we’ve been, we’ve had to remind them 5 times about something, even though they write down the orders!! The food we got was worth under £1 if prepared at home (considering it was all freezer food!), but they charged £9 per plate. It’s a joke! The single toast that came with the English breakfast didn’t actually arrive with the rest of the food, and it wasn’t even toasted. They couldn’t even prepare toast...... The orange juice my boyfriend ordered tasted overly sweet and cheap/ from concentrate. It was so watered down it was a light yellow! The place looked dirty, the tables weren’t cleaned properly and a bottle of used oil was on display at the entrance. We will not be going back again. If I could give it less stars I would...

Amazing place - Edit
I’ve been visiting here with my children for a couple of years now, it’s quirky, friendly and food is always delicious and reasonably priced. I’ve also had birthday cakes made by the owner and they are always fantastic. It now has new owners who are equally lovely and food is still as good as it was. Excited to see the new owners ideas take shape, good luck! X

Great cake - Edit
This tiny but cosy place had a great selection of food and drinks (including every tea you could ever want). Their homemade oreo cake had fantastic frosting and is a must. I had the lunch wrap which was falafel salad hummous etc and was very tasty. Also they have a loyalty scheme so if you go alot you get free cake win win.

Amazing! - Edit
I absolutely love the garden shed cafe. The cafe made being vegan even more easy for me. Both ladies that own the cafe are lovely and extremely welcoming. The place is honestly like no other, from its decor to its vibe. It's a shame I'm leaving the area and won't be able to go frequently, but I will indeed be back. My favourites are the 'cheddar' and chutney panini and the PLT! :)

Great for lunch - Edit
Found this place on Happy Cow and as it is all vegan, decided to pop in for lunch as we were passing.
Read moreBetween us we had a vegan breakfast, a piece of quiche and some pizza.
All were tasty, the quiche and pizza being served with an ordinary salad. The breakfast was as one would expect, with their own homemade sausage which was very tasty. All three were of the right size to make sure you had room for cake ;)
There were four different cakes to choose from and we had Oreo cake, white chocolate with raspberry and cherry bakewell. They were all very tasty, although two were slightly dry. The cherry bakewell was definitely the best.
There were two couples in when we arrived, who appeared to be just finishing and we were served reasonably quickly although I imagine there could be quite a wait for some dishes if it got busier.
Would def recommend this place though.
Pros: All vegan., Daily specials
Cons: Small, so could struggle to get a seat

Quaint cafe but bad service - Edit
Nice people, nice food but bad service. Waited an hour and a half for a sandwich, soup and salad, only to be told that soup had run out - despite people who arrived after us being served soup before us. Only 5 tables so would expect better organisation.

A must have experience for every vegetarian/vegan! - Edit
I visited The Garden Shed Cafe today (30/07/16). The position is ideal as it's located behind a very good organic food shop and a gym (healthy lifestyle themed area :) ). I also loved the fact that the place was so quiet like it was in a village or something.
Read moreThe two ladies that own the shop were very friendly, helpful and passionate about their work (I am a Greek, so I can understand from miles away who loves cooking or not).
Music was very relaxing.
The place was small but very cozy. I felt really comfortable and relaxed.
As far as the food concerned, we ordered a pizza and a quiche (both came with a side salad). Both were ABSOLUTELY great. I never thought that vegan cuisine can be SOOOO tasty.
There was only one negative and I think that the owners ought to fix it. The side salads were both from ALDI :( I know that because I always buy it. It's not the cheapest that ALDI offers, but when you go to a vegan restaurant, you always expect this something little extra :)
Prices are great and portions very good.
Pros: The food, Friendly enviroment, Prices
Cons: The side salads from ALDI
